Hi everyone, i need help from u guys.

Im going to work in Singapore next month.
Last two days i went for the 2nd interview and got the job offer.
I signed the offer letter, and they immediately help me to apply for employment pass.
The next day, i got a mail from the company HR. She send me a pdf which state that my EP is approved.

According to the pdf, I should submit a request for the issuance of the Employment Pass card.
But before that I will need to apply for my SingPass.

The problem is when i try to apply for my SingPass at Here
It says that my name/SingPass ID/Date of Issue is Invalid.

What should I do now?
Please help.... icon_question.gif

After HR told my application approved, they only ask me go for medical checkup and after that take the EP application form and medical report submit to EPSC, 5 days later, i got my EPass, this is what i been thru.

request for the issuance of the Employment Pass card = take the EP application form and medical report submit to EPSC ??? rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Yup, this is the IPA, In-Principle Approval letter for Employment Pass.
i think the second page should will mention what document you need when you submit your IPA, after you receive your medical report, then just bring the report and related document with IPA to EPSC at clarke quay, the EPSC got welcoming staff to help you double check your document, but before that you need to make appointment to EPSC,my appointment is done by HR. maybe you need SingPass to make appointment, i not sure.

o....icic. Thanks ya...

Did your company provide you any panel doctor?i go to my company doctor and all the bill go to the company, so basically i just go to the place they told me and the doctor there know what to do. If your company does not have panel doctor, then you make sure you can claim the medical cost and what kind of checkup you needed, then only you go any doctor of your choice.

What you mean by locked? i dont think galaxy phone will be locked, only happen to Iphone, correct me if i m wrong. you want best coverage, Singtel is the best. sign any data plan contract worthy in singapore if you like to connected to internet all the time.

How about starHub 3G coverage? Their iPhone plan is cheaper.
I tried singTel, the coverage is ok...but speed is quite slow sometime.

I've been job hunting for almost 1.5 months, but still no any response.  sad.gif
why so difficult to find a job in sg now  cry.gif

Just for sharing...
I spend one day submitting resume to about 10 companies. next 2 day get call by only two of them.
went to the interview, both at the same day....then got hired by one of them. next year start work...hehe biggrin.gif
total time spend = 3days

I would say that I'm quite lucky. The company gave me a test, i score quite well bcos most of it related to what I'm doing now.

Dun giv up...keep trying. when i was jus graduate, i try to look for a job in singp too...but failed.
now after 1 year...i try again, i got it. happy....^^

(advice: go jobsDB.com to look for vacancy, submit ur resume direct to their HR email.)

good luck in ur job hunt....

If i only got my IPA letter for EP, but haven do the medical check up n go to EPSC.

Can I sign up a singtel 2years plan??
Bcos in Singtel website, it says that foreigner need to submit a scanned copy of identity pass.
I wonder if I give them the copy of my IPA letter, they will allow me to sign the contract or not.

anyone try it before?

Hi, I'm looking for a position in Singapore, would you mind recommend some? I hereby attached my CV for your kind perusal.

U have a software engineering degree. So i assume u r looking for a software engineer job in SG. If ur coding skill is good then u shud hav no problem finding a job with reasonable pay because ther r so many software companies in SG. But before u start ur job hunting, pls re-write ur resume. I think 80% of the hiring manager wil delete ur resume without finishing the first page. I think its more important that u include the programming languages that u know, and technologies that u r familiar with. gud luck
