Hello I been reading a lot here.  Tq so much for the info. Really cleared my mind on the situation in sg.  Nice community that support each other.
My wife got a very good offer there and got offered double the salary in SGD. Well she have a good degree.

Problem is I only have stpm cert and I was to move in there with her with my child.  All my experience is only in sales.  Iknow it will be hard to get job there. Anyone here wt similar situation manage to get job there and mind sharing some tips for me?

U and ur kids stay in JB lor. U can take care of the kids personally.
Ur wife can rent a room in SG and go over to JB every Friday and come back Sunday/Monday lor.
Otherwise ur wife can stay in JB and u can send ur wife over to SG everyday from JB. This may be financially better than if u find a low paying job and whole family stay in SG, then have to incur extra cost to take care of your kids.
Childcare being outsource too much oso not very healthy and maybe (inclusive of other cost maybe more expensive than ur monthly salary).

Sg is a very fair country and police get involve even on small trivial unfair matter.
So the ppl here will expect everything to be fair and follow rules and take things for granted that everything shd be as it is. Nothing out of order and nothing shd be. Gomez here so efficient that everything is laid out with little uncertainty. Ppl here are used to it since young and will not tolerate if it not inline.
My 2 cents

Is anyone working in SG in finance and investment related field? If I am fresh graduated with CFA level one and maybe even MBA, will it be very hard to get a job related? If can what is the average salary for it?
*
For fresh grad if u have CfA better than MBA. If she be easier to find compared to if u have MBA or degree.
Salary for fresh grad no diff whether u degree MBA of Cfa.

Just reading on and saw level "one". Not much diff from degree then. Maybe complete ur level 3.
I'm guessing ur MBA is not from top 10 school otherwise u won't b asking above question.

y u step on ppl ar... giv ppl some hope la.. we know u very high position.. dont need like that 1

I'm not on high position unfortunately. Completing my CFA in 2.5 yrs doesn't really help my job. It would help me probably if I'm in my first 5yrs of career, but after 20yrs working i regret shortening my life with the CFA.

I'd be very,.. very,.. surprised if anyone in this forum comes from a Top 10 business school. Actually I'd be surprised if anyone in this forum is a personal friend of someone from a Top 10 business school.

Just read the paper about 6.6-6.9m. It's like a smack in the face of the singaporeans about their concerns on immigration and foreigners. @__@
*
I think it's just to set expectation. PAP very long sighted. Tell the rakyat expected 6.9m, then by 2030 or 2020, it's still far from the target and then can either say we are short from target and have room to increase foreigners or say that we are still not as bad as projected altho infrastructure have been prepared for 6.9m.

Was looking at future Singapore land zoning. East coast park will be without the coast. And Sentosa is consider "green" zone? To me it's as busy crowdy as Bugis.

I rather everything goes up higher than chopping bulldozing trees.
*
They talk about all residents having 10-15mins walk to park. I'm sure their defination of park is not just a couple of trees.
Anyway, 2030, too far down the road. I might be retired by then.

they have bachelor degree?

no, i went to local kolej teknikal but drop out cause no $$$, that's why i am now in sg to make some $$$ hopefully can continue my studies later... if i had graduated from UK... why do u think i work in sakae sushi..  doh.gif
eh, i thought they are going to move psa away and combine brani island with d main island..

looks like tuas is going to be expanded a lot..

say wanna make new cbd at jurong area... tipu ppl 1
*
Whether jurong, or woodlands can be CBD area not really depends entirely on gomen. Whether companies want to be located there or not. Gomen also talk about expanding commercial area in Marina Bay area. This doesn't sound like encouraging business to relocated to other places. I think the key is financial services need to relocate, because those are the businesses crowding in current CBD. They should implement incentives for business to relocate to jurong or woodlands.
