Fews month back I prepared 700 for Monster Dre Beat, ended up taking yamaha hph-200 back home for 160. Loving it. It produces best ever sound from 50+ headphones I tested in funan that day.

Room rate has been discussed previously or refer page 1 - $500-650
If u stay in SG, why do you need to drive your malaysian car. U can drive in for a while until u get your EP (if you drive in with white card - not IPA letter). But keeping car here is quite expensive due to limited parking spot & parking cost (day rate & overnight rate) except stay in condo but share room i dun think can .

if captain can get 2000SGD per month.

mine 1500SGD per month, and they DO NOT PROVIDE ACCOMMODATION, only one meals when you are on duty.

so, i guess:
rental = 500-600 (for single)
transport = 100
eat = 300
misc = 100

so, basically i thk i am able to save 500SGD per month but wt no entertainment at all and makan roti everyday?

in the end i rejected the offer sad.gif

Considering that fresh grads get 2k+, I fail to see how 3k+ with FIVE years working experience can be described as "good salary."

QUOTE(winter1941 @ Sep 28 2012, 02:00 PM)
so is SD$3000 salary in SG consider low or average?

For fresh grad, considered high. For 20 years working exp, considered low.

you dont have to check the car park price if you are driving a Malaysian car. Foreign vehicle are not allowed to purchase HDB car park anyway.
If you really need the car, then the only choice for you is to stay in JB. actually, staying in JB is not that bad. Depends on your working hours.
If you work from 9:30 to 6:30, you can leave home at 8:30am and u still can reach office in time. only pain is when going back. it might take 2 hours. (I am talking about Causeway)
If use 2nd link, then no jam but prepare to pay super high toll everyday.

If you need to drive on the job, the company should provide a tool-of-trade car to you.
