no, only Waiter ! >.<
if captain can get 2000SGD per month.

mine 1500SGD per month, and they DO NOT PROVIDE ACCOMMODATION, only one meals when you are on duty.

so, i guess:
rental = 500-600 (for single)
transport = 100
eat = 300
misc = 100

so, basically i thk i am able to save 500SGD per month but wt no entertainment at all and makan roti everyday?

in the end i rejected the offer sad.gif

may i knw which industry you are in?

and, how to find accommodation in singapore? via website?

Added on September 27, 2012, 11:40 pm

but the expenses in singapore also very high...especially the rentals...

can get higher salary n better employee benefits in macau!

easiest and cheapest way to get accomodation is through friends and relative. if you have friends or friend's relative that live in SG. you can get it cheaper than market rate and skip the agent fees.

800 a month on food...800/30 days then divide by 3 meals a day..that's close to SGD9 per meal...what kind of economy rice you eat ler?
SGD280/30 then divide by 3 meals a day == SGD3.1..this is possible...just food..no drinks!!

arrggg ... why take so long ? IS it normal ?

Depend on the company, i once heard got people after one month only get call from the company.
You can move on and noneed wait for it, or you have another alternate, that is call the company or email them, ask nicely and they will get back to you

If you eat fish, and like to have more than 2 veg + 1 meat - it's quite easy to hit $6-7 per plate of chap fan. Add a kopi / teh peng, you spent $8 a meal already.

Depends on the type fish, whether its a piece or whole, or whether it's fried/sweet-sour or poached.

It takes alot of dedication to restrict yourself to S$280 for food a month. But I have seen more extreme case than this, a colleague from my previous company she always cooks in bulk sleep.gif like fried meehoon for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

1 meat 2 vege sgd2.8 hougang/defu.
1 meat 2 vege in kopitiam (aircon) sgd3.3 after kopitiam card discount.
One thing for sure, cook at home will save a lot of money.

Is it wise if I apply PR next year after receiving income tax receipt? By then I only moved here for 1.5y with >4k salary.
