with this new mall, I foresee many malls failing in KD with Tropicana Gardens, Sunway Nexis, Encorp Strand(failing already), sunway nexis, this new 6 storey mall (not forgetting Sunway Giza, Cascades,existing dataran sunway retail)

How any mall here wanna attract tenants or shoppers?

many big name company wanna come to tropicana gardens.

It seems the mall have been upgraded and the hotel is now relocated and much taller now.

Another UE3/Phoenix Plaza in the making.

Yes that's the CONCEPT and exclusivity that is key to success when many malls sprout up from 2016-2018.. Strong ones with good catchment that can take the position of a Regional Mall for the area will succeed..

Empire will be a mixed mall like MV+Gardens in 1 mall.. not all luxury    any mall with only luxury in PJ will struggle..

LTG kor, yes TG needs those office/apartment/hotel nearby to provide daily footfall.. TG is a fairly large neighborhood mall at 1mil NLA...   I bliv 4 star hotel or Mercure standard will do well in KD given the hip area..

Hi, i did mention b4 tht giza FnB n retail not performing well.. i think those shops too exp already n rental high.. 60% FnB sounds like setia city a bit.. good to know got fitness centre but there will be a super big on in empire as my friend mention to me.. I feel like dataran sunway still ok   

What rental TG should set for its concourse level? RM20psf cos very stiff competition thr?

patchay if TG gets ibis hotel, value of TG will go down cos its a 3 star hotel in a 5 star product    minimum shld be a 4 star hotel.. Can u shed light on the kid's adventure zone?? Hope it will be like kidzania which is super full in the weekends.. They shld build a theme park here cos got MRT to ferry tourists n shoppers..

Spoke to a restaurant owner the other day...told me that many eating outlets in KD closed in April. Business affected badly post GST. If May turns out to be as bad, he will close as well. Bad times...

Very strict to get license for night retails. Night or after-hour mall idea is scrapped.

Now even Mamak may not be able to open after midnight.
