I own the S530D

I can say DA5000pro is louder than S530D

and both is loud enough to shake large living room
S530D sounds better but then again... 5.1 vs 2.1 isn't fair
*
okay.. thank for the info
because finding a speaker that can enough to watch movie in living room in the budget

if more on movie and gaming.. which better between this 2??

if i buy s530d or da5000pro, need sound card??

Any feedback on edifier r501??

look at your aego m subwoofer and you will notice the centre is not connected.
all you need to do is find another aego m satellite and plug it in like the right and left side.
*
oic.. that mean not every model can do it right??

actually i consider s530d and hcs5640

i 60% movie 20% for both music and gaming

you think which 1 is better??

try before both speaker..

but in shop only can try music.. duno about quality on movie

In terms of sound, yes the Edifier M1360 should be better since it has more wattage and has subwoofer (which gives a better low frequency and bass ambience). Small portable speakers tend to sound "thin" and less louder (more like a small radio box). If you have a small and very quiet room, then sound reflections within the room can sometimes cause small portable speakers to sound more expansive. Thus generally if you want good loudness and some bass, then always opt for the more powerful speaker system (which is that Edifier M1360)... hmm.gif

For around RM200, better look at Edifier M3400. Looks can be deceiving, may not look pretty but sounds much better... cool.gif

Nopes, depends on the audio load. Unless you feed the speaker with a continuous 50Hz sine wave at FULL volume. tongue.gif

You could try changing the rear satellites with dipolar speakers (to enhance the rear surround effects). That would make it "7.1"...  brows.gif

Just change speakers, also some rewiring. Experiment with different speakers... wink.gif

I wish Edifier would spend a bit more on quality components, especially on certain parts like the main power smoothing/filter capacitor. Speaking from experiencing badcap problem on my M3300 (low level buzzing), which I replace the capacitors myself (with Nichicons). hmm.gif

Please note that bipolar and dipolar speakers are different. Also dipolar (or dipole) speakers are favored for THX approved theatre sound systems (although many HTIB and run-of-the-mill home theatre setups ignores it). if your soundcard has an extra slot for 7.1 then you can do it

volume control would be a double task though. Unless you're using the volume control on your device/pc
*
i just simply plug in the 2.0 into another 2 slot will do?

oo

usually for a 7.1 setup you'll plug into your grey port for side speakers (since your black port is used for rear already)

the blue one is for line in icon_rolleyes.gif

yea it works. just volume control will be a hassle  icon_rolleyes.gif

have fun playing thumbup.gif

if there's no sound coming from your extra speakers then probably your video/game doesn't have 7.1 rolleyes.gif
*
ic.. okay really thank a lot ya
will enjoy it soon thumbup.gif

just because not sure so im not buying yet
