Hi all experts here, pls recommend me 2.1 speakers for music/gaming/movie. Budget is rm400, I need a speaker with the best sound quality(low/mid/high) i can get for my $$, I dont need a loud speaker, saw some review of some speaker have problem/sound issue when turn the volume up too high, i will not have problem with that as i never turn my volume over 50%.

I'm looking at Edifier S330 but wondering is there any better option in that price range.

Thnx in advance

ur budget can aim for Edifier C3

if RM300+ then HSC2330 (known as C2+)

Hey all. My old Edifier C3 that's been with me since 2007 suddenly died (seems to be an amp component issue). Currently looking for somewhere to check and fix the issue if possible, but meanwhile, recommend me a new set? 2.0 or 2.1 is okay

I have a budget up to RM400, and the speakers are mostly for music (wide range of genres including movie and game OSTs, classical, choral, vocals, classical), with some light gaming, rarely movie watching.

Sound characteristics: Prefer good details, good lows, mids and highs; not too bass-shy.

Room is sort of L-shaped, the speakers are located in the neck of the 'L'; subwoofer if large enough will be on the floor under my table (like the C3 currently), or the shelf under it.

Thanks!

Dear Sifus,

Currently planning to get speakers for my 48" LED. Please help in giving suggestions. icon_question.gif

Budget : under RM 300

Placing it at living room area, floor size : 20 feet x 15 feet, speaker and sofa 19 feet apart.

Usage: Watching astro, includes drama, sport, movies etc.

Hoping to get best bang for buck speaker, in terms of sound quality and build quality. Design doesn't matter.

Currently having problem listening to voice speaking in programmes, wish to get speaker with some clarity.

Was looking at Edifier R1280T but found it to be too music orientated.

Thanks all !!

Hello sifus,

Any recommendation for a 2.1 speaker setup for my desktop without breaking the bank and good looking? I want the speaker to be wall mounted.

Been looking at the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and they look perfect. But it's 900+ at harvey norman  rclxub.gif

Budget around 400-500.

Thanks!

I'm lookinh for a 2.1 speaker, with a slick design. It's for my pc rig. It will only be use when I watch movies and listen to songs. I use my headset for gaming.

Thank you smile.gif

you can visit Jaya One to test things out
I forgot the shop name but it's above wendy's

I find the bird sounding more expensive compared to the focal xs 2.1
To me the focal xs sounds like some generic computer speaker to me. (to be more precise it sounded like Eacan A600ii to me that is)

bird is good. like... really goood

play it loud, no ear fatigue. thumbup.gif (it's not designed to play loud though)

It is one of the few speakers I've tested that doesn't have that annoying 150Hz midbass muddiness that most computer speaker have. (even the hivi swan speaker has em)

Hi gurus,

Recently my Logitech Z906 had problem turning on. Guess the board/fuse blown. Can recommend where to fix?

I'm also looking at new 5.1 speakers budget below 1k. Either Razer Leviathan or anybrand can recommend?

Thanks.

Thanks for suggestion...however i feel focal xs 2.1 sound better than my aego m ....so i doubt focal xs2.1 sound like eacan a600 ....maybe the source u listen to from xs2.1 has some problem?

well it's not about the source or quality I am talking about though. It's the characteristics reminded me of that particular speaker ahahha

no worries about source or whatnot. I've tested with multiple source and files. The eacan is definitely few classes below poor laugh.gif And the Focal XS kept reminding me of that Eacan doh.gif sweat.gif

The sound just reminded me of that particular Eacan when played on neutral bass and neutral treble.
A type of crunch in the sound made it sounded grainy.

Enough of my opinions about it ahahha. It is just not my taste laugh.gif

But the bird is really delicious whistling.gif

I'm currently looking for a choice of speakers (no idea it's called speakers or subwoofer system) with a price of under RM300. I mainly use the speakers as an audio surroundsound for movies or gaming, sometimes for acute listening for QC on music files I've downloaded or bought. Any recommendations?
