guys, currently am using edifier m3300. would there be any worthwhile upgrade if my budget around RM 300. willing to consider used set as well.

can u tell what do u find lacking in m3300 first? otherwise hard to suggest because we dunno ur listening preference.

right speaker sometimes makes a crackling noise. the set is few years old.

so u are satisfy with the sound quality, just it wont last long?

well tbh, in term of clarity not that great imo. even my cheap sony earphones give better clarity than this speaker.

any recommendation for speaker that have a better clarity?

haha, thats better to understand. since u dont mind used unit, i suggest you look for classic altec lansing like mx5021, 621, cs21.
all these are about the rm300 range and nothing from new can beat.

2.0 speaker is for music , while 2.1 speaker is for gaming? I used 2.1 speaker to listen to the music using my edifier m1335. It sound weird

sometimes i could feel the bass stronger than the vocal . i could feel the table is shaking. If i use decent box speaker , will it be the same , i mean the table is shaking? the bass will not be as strong as my m1335 right?

You need to put the sub on the floor.

actually we called it bookshelf speaker, not box speaker.

ok, bass need big cone to push air. m1335 shaking bass becos the 2.1 satelite is too small to handle any bass, so edifier tuning make subwoofer crossover at higher hz (about 250hz). u get good feeling of shaking bass but it not the actual recording.

if u choose 6.5" or bigger size cone, u wont need subwoofer for near field listening. because that thing 1pc is already bigger than whole set of m1335. now u put 1pc on the left side, another one on right side. u will be impressed by the amount of bass compare to m1335.
