I'll try to help : There will be numerous accts that you canopen. Look for the most suitable for you. I use SavingsPLus, very old type of acct.. Minimum deposit is $500 average daily for me, but I heard from my friends in DBS Legal Panel that this minimum amt has been incaresd to $1K ! I also heard that if you don't meet the minimum amt, you will be charged a service fee of, something like,... below $10,... on the 31st of the month. Sorry, I'm giving you vague replies, for I hav not checked with DBS personally.

Come to think of it, there is another advantage of opening an acct with DBS,... you can open a MUlti-Currency Acct (MCA) with them too. YOU can actually deposit notes into this MCA, and withdraw notes from the bank provided the branch you are visiting has stocks in-hand. But there is a minimum equivalent bal per day of S$3000. Otherwise, they will charge you a Service Fee again at the end of the month. Don't know the amt..

Hoped this limited info is of help. I only know the accts that I hold, but I hav not experienced the service fees yet.

Acc to report, industrial spaces in SG is facing oversupply.. In AIMS latest quaterly report brief, the mgmt also warned that rental and occupancy in 2H 2015 might be affected due to the oversupply issues. So be careful in industrial reit...
