if mainly for music, should get a 2.0 eg 1080 IV rather than m20w right? since their price almost same....I saw review from china said m20w no tweeter , high frequency poor performance...

hi cyntrix, i wan ask about in what term m200mkII over d1080 since they have same 30w/channel but different price....as i know d1080 use same bass driver as m200mkIII which is nice....
SO for bass, d1080=mkIII >>mkII ? but by paying extra rm200, is it m200mkII has extra more crisper sound on mid and high compare to d1080?? since its bass poorer than d1080? *correct me if im wrong.thx This post has been edited by ego draconis: Dec 25 2012, 10:11 PM |

im too far from klang valley, im more keen on crisp sound than bass( so if mkII has "something" better than d1080 , i will sacrifice bass), 2.1 as i guess is muffle as u say, im more to music so choose 2.0.
my budget is rm500 to rm750 , so i wan choose more allrounding that suit my condition .. So based on ur decision on d1010, is it has more crisper sound compare to m50w? |

if i often play 320kbps mp3 (since i have limited lossless source), does the difference btw m200mkIII, m200mkII, d1080 is subtle?
furthermore no serious dac such as Lavry dac , just cheapo dac, does the difference subtle? This post has been edited by ego draconis: Dec 27 2012, 09:16 PM |

is it x3 have almost similar tonal as x4?
the advantage of x4 over m200 and t200 still present in x3? since it has lower price...but it still pricy than mk2 given its vy small driver... drawback of x3 only insufficient bass amount? |

My first impression on m200mk II
A) 2m away from speaker, various genre, middle volume, awesome. B) 60cm from speaker(nearfield), accapella, middle volume, awesome C) 60cm away from speaker(nearfield), pop and rock, i)middle volume, too loud, bad separation, cant hear vocal ,just noise (no music) ii)low volume, good separation, crisp vocal, but no as enjoyable as 2m away...like using my old 2.1... cyntrix, am i bought a wrong model for my purpose?? im using it with my laptop, no big lcd, so my head tends to near speaker... |

QUOTE(CyntrixTech @ Mar 16 2013, 08:12 PM) Wait, so you are saying at closer range it doesn't sound as good to you? The reason why you think separation is not as good at nearfield is because of the sheer size of the speaker. It has a very large and overwhelming sound. The M200Mk3 when used nearfield is even more overwhelming which is why we have been stressing not to buy the M200mk3 for nearfield use despite whatever you may read online. so anyway to overcome my problem ???or shoud i upgrade to x3??The X series is the king of nearfield. I have the X3 with me now but X4 is the sweet spot. X6 is too huge, never gotten a chance to listen to it yet. Just a friendly advice, all the X series will see a price hike very soon. |
