Wait, so you are saying at closer range it doesn't sound as good to you? The reason why you think separation is not as good at nearfield is because of the sheer size of the speaker. It has a very large and overwhelming sound. The M200Mk3 when used nearfield is even more overwhelming which is why we have been stressing not to buy the M200mk3 for nearfield use despite whatever you may read online.

The X series is the king of nearfield. I have the X3 with me now but X4 is the sweet spot. X6 is too huge, never gotten a chance to listen to it yet.

Just a friendly advice, all the X series will see a price hike very soon.

can we see the pic of ur setup? maybe we can advise you on how to reduce the boomy thing.

hmmmm imho the speaker is too near to each other another thing is that is also too near to the wall

hmm try move your speaker futher away from the wall than as for space between the speaker this is what i do

would the m200mkii be alright for movies since the lack of a sub? and whats an optimal distance i shouldconfiguration  them apart? 

This is my desktop space and the speakers are approx 3 ft apart is it suitable for the m200mkii?

if can tell me the optimal distance I should have in Feet so i can measure xD and maybe rearrange my space later on.

I Changed e stock swans cable to belden 1505f with canare f9 plugs. Sounds clearer and warmer
