Don't think you could fix this, better check for warranty covers this sort of mishap.

Good luck.

Can be fixed but not that easy and no gurantee if the memory module can work again. Usually require PCB track repair method... hmm.gif

DO IT ONLY IF RMAed DIDNT WORK...ALSO DO IT IF U GOT GOOD SKILL IN SOLDERING THINGS. THIS IS DIY METHOD THUS NO WARRANTY IT WILL WORKS.

find copper lead(take one lead from the power cable) the size is can be place
into broken lead place. mostly electrical cable inner copper lead works.
u only need one(1) stripes of it. just like tube type fuse inner lead.

solder it ends to the remaining circuit leads on the pcb(didnt work if no remaining circuit lead at all). use small tip solder gun with good solder lead.

put i little two-tonne glue at the lead space, on the pcb. make sure the glue did not cover leads at their side. use sharps end of tooth picks to apply glue.(2-tonne glue need to be mix before use, small amount only).

stretch the copper lead u soldered before and just lay over the glue. make sure this copper lead did not touch the other lead behind. let the glue dry up to one hour under the sunlight.

done. slowly put back into ram slot and boot-up. see if it works.
The coppper lead is meant to replace the original copper printed lead on the pcb that u peel it out. the glue use to make sure the copper u put is not moving and stay there. soldering job must me neat and clean.

Nope, I don't think that's viable because you have to actually look carefully at the DIMM slot mechanism. tongue.gif

Have to use a thin flat piece of copper, tin or aluminium foil and cut it to fit the missing connection pad. Then superglue it in place (use a clamp to make sure its held tightly, allow the superglue to settle down for at least a few hours). Sand the superglued foil and clean with isopropyl alcohol. Strip/sand the remaining PCB track on the memory stick and also clean with isopropyl alcohol. Then apply some solder flux/paste and add solder to bridge the gap between the remaining track and the newly superglued foil. icon_rolleyes.gif

As suggested by many, better try to RMA rather than keeping it in glass cupboard in your house. Gskill/vendor might be generous enough to replace you a new one. If RMA failed, time for the DIY suggestions then. Make a proper research before trying out.

i know copper plate should be better...i just suggest what u can found in your house. yes i know the dimm slot...that's why u cannot use a big/thick copper stripes...if use smaller copper than messy to handle, use big copper sure cant fit into dimm...so u have to find out which copper wire suite to the dimm slot. using of superglue aso can, but its too liquid scared its spill all over...so, be carefull. a handy-man should no worries to do this.
