Hi bro,

I'm planning to swap out my stock speaker (City 2014 E). From what I can see, the car doors (both front and back) has 2 mounting for speakers. 1 below and 1 besides the door handle.

Base on my minimal research (as I'm a newbie in terms of car audio), I believe it's appropriate that I should get a Component Car speakers. Do correct me if I'm wrong on this matter (as I believe you're the expert in this case) smile.gif

Maybe you've come across the 2014 City and you could advice me on which speaker I should be getting. That would be greatly appreciated.

I'm also retaining my stock head unit (which I'm not sure on the specs of the power it's able to produce).

I see that you're operating out of Kepong. Do you perform installation as well?

Appreciate your feedback.

Hi bro,

Your research is spot on, you should replace the front speakers and tweeters with a component set. Using your original HU is not a problem. What will your budget be and what kind of music do you listen to? We wouldn't want to recommend anything over the top and make you uncomfortable.

We do not do installations but can be arranged. Thank you.

Hi bro,

Thanks for a prompt feedback.

Throughout the weekend I did scowl the web for more information. Correct me if I'm wrong.

For my specific setup, I would need 2 set of components speakers. 1 set for the front doors and the other for the back doors.

In answering your question, I would say that most of my music are the TOP hits (which most probably is between POP and Rock). I'm not too much into the heavy hitting bass.

I'm also not planning to add on any amplifier. So with that said, the speakers I should be looking at would be around 50W RMS, correct?

In terms of budget, I suppose I wouldn't want to go over 1k for 2 set of components. Maybe with this information, you could assist me in finding the best model and brand.

Appreciate your feedback.
