Hi Bro,

Need some advice.

Have been trying to be a DIY monkey and have broken my sound system tongue.gif

On my BMW F30, I have swapped out my stock mids for a set of Eton Twitter and Mids.

For my stock 6 inch underseat subs, i have changed them to 8 inch gladens.

Low and behold, my vocals and etc are okay (Anything treble based).

My bass breaks at the mention of anything remotely bass related .

I am looking for an amp to juice the sound system up do you have anything to recommend >?

Hi,

We are having a Deepavali promotion at our website at www.xciteaudio.com

Your front should be 6"x9" speakers. Perhaps an Alpine SPS-619-G at only RM300 will do a great job.
For headunit, go for Pioneer DEH-X2650UI at only RM285 also available through our website. Shipping is free as well if you live in W.Malaysia. COD at our premise in Kepong. Thank you.

Hi bro,

Nice ride btw and the setup is good. Just need a little more power to power the Eton.
Subwoofer is fine as well but there are limitations to underseat sub though it can be tuned nicely to reduce the boomy sound.
By looking at your setup, I would recommend the space saving Focal FD4.350. Gives good power and clarity, its Focal so doesn't need much explanation and best part it compliments Eton speakers very well.

Stock HU only can give out 18W RMS which is far from the RMS of your speakers hence you won't get the additional bass and clarity from the mids and tweeters. Refer to this link

http://xciteaudio.com/car_amplifiers?product_id=311

Small amp, can be installed anywhere and has all the functions you need. Perfect for continental cars and your thought of a space saving setup.

Thank you.

Hi bro,

Not sure if the rear doors do come with a speaker hole ready to be installed. Install a set of component speakers for the front and coaxial speakers(OPTIONAL) for the rear.

Here is the SPS-610C-G for the front door

http://xciteaudio.com/car_speakers?product_id=73

and SPS-610-G coaxials for the rear

http://xciteaudio.com/car_speakers?product_id=72

Both for RM660 inclusive of courier delivery. Slightly above your budget. The rear speaker is not so important so it is optional. Just replace the front speakers first. Thank you.

Hi there,

I intend to change the original head unit of my Perodua Viva Elite to a head unit with built-in Bluetooth compatibility in order to stream the musics and answer calls from my Android smartphone (HTC).

So, I would like to ask for your suggestion on Kenwood KDC-U556BT and Pioneer DEH-X4650BT. Which one is better for BT music streaming and calling quality? I know that Kenwood comes with a built-in microphone, but Pioneer doesn't. Do you provide the harness?

Is it easy enough to do the installation by myself?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I would say the sound quality on both units are the same, good sound quality comes from good speakers and good tuning. No matter how good the headunit is, if the speakers are terrible, it wouldn't sound good. In terms of calling quality, I would prefer the Pioneer unit as it comes with an external mic which you can mount it nearer to you. The Kenwood comes built in mic and also can be connected to a mic(sold seperately).

Installation is pretty straight forward by tapping the colour coded wiring to the existing wiring but you will still need to know what you are doing. Thank you.
