can train using it but cant use it...and when u train, it is highly dangerous to do so..so gotta train with a boken...so it's only for display purposes. Hence why the need of a katana since it doesn't represent anything(power, strength, coolness, beauty etc)....

katana ... looks cool , but if you dunno how to wield it , it'll become a weakness if a robber breaks in ... maybe even accessory for murder biggrin.gif

my kendo sensei once showed us his naginata ... freakin long. but they train with that only for the movements , not for fighting.

it's a single handed katana (medium length). suppose to come in a matching pair, but the seller has one natural color, and the other black. both made from wood.

not easy bringing those stuff in bulk.
i'd recomend buying those stuff individually in small quantity to avoid any holdup at customs.

btw, i boutght mine from a flea market.

actually, there are a lot of so-called samurai swords selling in lelong.com, some designs are quite cool i must say. maybe somebody can arrange a bulk and we all can get it at a cheaper price?

Nothing fancy here.

This is a real practise katana. No fancy ribbon, just properly balance sharp blade for smooth slashing. laugh.gif

Btw, real stuff have no silver or gold or fancy ribbon, just dark or black color for cammo. Most real katana have 2 mode, norm display setup with the fancy stuff and during actual war, those part is been took off for 100% cammo. In fact, during ancient time the blade is purposely smear with dark color fat/grease to camo the blade more for assault purpose.

Also no reverse blade thingy. that only use in SamuraiX as big myth. The actual pulling out need the welder to pull it with sharp edge face top. Reverse blade will cut the welde's finger before fight... doh.gif

cheers.

If you have friends in Dubai or UAE countries, you can actually ask them to get you one. Even those axe or spear that looks like the one in Gladiator also got. All are unsharpen, and you can just tell the kastam its for decoration purposes, because they mainly are. But they are made with good steel and can be sharpen when you bring them back.
