Guys,

Is my car's jerking normal? It jerks when it is slowing down by releasing pedal, once in a while it become more serious that I can see the RPM going up and down more seriously while driving.

I managed to ALWAYS reproduce the problem by cold starting the car then switch to reverse gear.

Need you guys' help, is there anything wrong with the engine or gearbox?

I think you better send to SC if this is not happened since first day.

I dropped Preve and took Forte 2 months ago. And always complaining about dashboard rattling sound on Forte when hit the road bump. Now I realise how lucky I am.

It is really annoying when the 'heart' (engine) of the car having problem. sad.gif

I hope your problem will be fixed soon.

I think you also should ask here about where you can find the best SC to fix your car.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic, but this happens to all cars with disk brakes, Proton or otherwise. Drive for a while and the rust will disappear.

All way of starting ur car is correct bro. Its just the matter personal preference as well as little precaution to our beloved car.

I believe last time Izputra bro has listed down 4 ways of starting a car with Push Start button. But to me personally, I practice the longest step one everytime I start, not just the 1st start in the morning bro. icon_rolleyes.gif

at least it rusts. That creates a peace of mind. Coz at least I know Proton is using metal for that part, instead of plastic.

If you're gonna make your appointment at COSE after 9-10am, you might have better luck to just walk-in before 8am.

I walked-in at 7.30 am to claim 3 items, was attended to at 8.30am, car driven into service bay shortly thereafter and car ready for collection before lunch.

By 10 am, the lounge was already full of people.
*
i reached COSE around 8am, reception said no walk-in for today, no joy.
Read good review at eon glenmarie, tried my luck there.

Rusty exhaust holder > SA said its mild steel sure will rust. no repaint here but might request to replace whole exhaust if insisted.
Forget it, not going that route, i inspected a saga nearby, rusted too. Will live with it.

Gluk gluk sound while winding window.
No longer there, i guess its because of the rain.

Alignment
Eon seems reluctant to do it, due to my 1st service done at edar

Furry seat > SA claimed caused by comb inside pocket of driver. He asked me to go to vendor directly somewhere at jalan kebun and went in to get the address.
Waited 5 mins, he's no where to be seen, time to move on..

Now at proton edar glenmarie for alignment
Reception informed have to wait till 6pm, no guarantee though that my car will be serviced sad.gif

I'm gonna wait till lunch, then i'm going to do alignment at outside non edar/eon shop. Any recommendation?

u're too fast switching the gear to reverse bro.. i think u need to leave the engine to heat up at least a minute before engaging any gear from a cold start to get a better experience.. mine is always wait until the temp get 2 bar then engage the gear and start drive..

for the jerks when slowing down, if the engine not died, give the car more time to adapt to ur driving style.. mine also the same when first getting the car.. now feels okay already.. it will get better over time..

or.. u can go to SC and complaint about it..

me always use 1st method either cold or hot start.. put key fob, press brake and press start button.. no problem so far.. maybe sometimes got overcrank symptom, but managed to learn how to minimized it.. nod.gif
