Dropped car at COSE.... again

10K KM service (using FS Royal Purple engine oil) + replacing driver's seat (the vendor should be there today) + work on occasional engine stalled when reversing + replacing something inside the mid console air cond vent (part has arrived). If they have the time, to check on rear doors closing sound, right side sounded more "padat" than the left (something just now right)

Should be able to get the car back this evening.

Somehow my mind is replaying Whitesnake's "Here I go again".... sigh

Same day. That was fast for all your complaints.
Mine always cannot finished on the same day. My back door closing still the same after adjustment.
*
we shall see how efficient and effective this time around. I have already told the SA, the rear doors is low priority.

What is wrong with your rear doors? One sounded more "padat" than the other when closing? Just for the record, I have removed the extra rubbers I stuck at the rear doors to prove a point to them.

Added on October 12, 2012, 11:18 amAnother thing I would like to mention here, ever since the upheaval with the Prevoc FB thingy, this forum seems to be moving a lot faster now.

Aint complaining.

Just an update on my trip to COSE today
- 10K KM service > done
- replacing driver's seat > vendor did not bring the required part(?). SA said he will notify when the part is ready and said this will only take a couple of hours... was told that instead of replacing the whole seat, something in the seat is missing so need to put that back... was thinking why didn't the vendor bring a complete seat and canibalise it for the necessary parts... shakehead.gif
- occasional engine stalled when reversing > replaced the OCV and told me to monitor
- rattling sound from mid console air cond vent > done
- left rear door closing sound "tak padat" unlike the right side > done but no mood to check since seat is not done and still have to go back another time..

I was rather surprised that they managed to complete most of the list.

BTW, the SA who attended to me was En Amir Khalid. I think he is ok so far. Follow up will be with him as well.

Side note, I believe DRB has done a reasonable good job at re-organizing and re-educating the frontline staff there on how to treat their customers.

Just back from sg.pinang eon service centre.
My power windows part arrived. I reported the driver side power windows kak kak or gluk gluk. Proton sent 3 power windows (passenger, both rear) but they didn't send power window for the driver side. Oh gosh, i ask for driver side but they give all except the driver side. lol
Need to order again and visit them, wtf.
Just talked to the head mechanic and he updated my HU. He asked me about SC but I tell him don't want any ECU/TCU update.
*
Anything special about the HU update?

I wonder why the SA at COSE did not even mention anything about HU update...

The Cheras Desa Tun Razak SC Bro.

Issues are
- C- Pillar (suspected) or is it suspension... giving noise while going on the bump / uneven surface (Ngek Ngek Sound)
*
For issue C, I had that before and SC said something was loosen with the suspension. No more noise once they have tighten it. Sorry did not catch the exact loosen part when he explained to me at that time.

On another note, on my last visit (12-Oct) to COSE, they replaced the OCV with the hope of solving the occasional engine stalling when reversing problem... sad to report that it did not solve the problem. And on top of that, the left side mirror is now hitting the window when folded rclxub.gif

Just for the benefit of those reading this, mine is one of those earlier batch.

If ocv valve dont solve the issue, maybe ask them to reflash new adaptation(if yours the old version). Another note, dont rush to change between d to r coz i think if too fast, sometimes from normal pulley operation in d change to planetary gear in r to give fixed ratio when reversing can mismatch, thus causing the stalling.
On another note also, try not to press too deep the brake which causing the rpm drop low than normal idle operation, press just enough to stop the car from move. Hopefully this can solve ur problems.
By the way, this is not official claim by proton, just my thought sharing with u guys with intention to share n help each other.

Mat,

Thanks for the suggestion and I will give it a try.

Just to re-cap, the SA told me that they have reflashed the ECU previously before replacing the OCV. Personally I just didn't expect to have to change my driving style/habit when driving a CVT car.

So far, in this forum, am I the only one having this problem? Has anyone reported the same problem else where?

Thanks.

i think they have reset the ecu, not reflashing. Adaptation is on tcu currently.

Its up to us actually at what mileage we want to service our car, SC got no right not to accept our service req. U want to service ur car at 1000k interval oso can.

As far as the free service is concern, they shouldn't make it a hassle for customer the one thing that's free is just Labour charge. The others we still need to pay. Some said the free first 3 service labour charge is at 1k, 5k, & 10k interval but some said it's on 1k, 10k, and 20k. Any body have any solid idea regarding this?
*
for COSE, it's free labour for 1k, 10k and 20k interval. i have done 1k(free), 5k(paid) and 10k(free) there.
