QUOTE(multiplexer @ Sep 12 2012, 01:08 PM) its basically the same engine with some improvement of the parts with a better quality and material.. but one has to remember, persona comes with conventional auto transmission.. where by the preve executive comes with a state of the art CVT gearbox... the nature of CVT, it will adjust itself based on the load.. whether the car is fully loaded with 5 adults, or just only the driver, the "pulling" experience would be the same.. it acted differently from conventional gearbox where the "pulling" experience pretty much depending on the load... more load, heavier to move the car.. CVT, 1 person or 5 person, u as the driver would feel the same "moving power" of the car... if driving on straight even road, yes, but if driving uphill with just one driver and with 5 adults are different... |

QUOTE(dares @ Sep 14 2012, 07:14 PM) I dint even notice the CONFIDENTIAL wording there lolz It was stuck on a bulletin board on the wall of the service area in a authorized Proton SC. Probably not meant to be seen by customers, but they allow customers to wander around in the service area anyway |

QUOTE(G K Lai @ Sep 15 2012, 01:02 PM) Hi arthur88, maybe I missed it? What is the result of updated HU software and engine adaptation program? from what i observe, not much difference on both aspect.HU no more blinking/flashing like crazy? Engine adaptation update solve the car slow down jerking problem? Thanks! for the engine adaptation, after applying it, the first time EVER i got mati engine when shifting D to R when making 3-point turn...more responsive as the rpm more lower to move the car... another thing, everytime i aaply engine adaptation, seems like it will become like i 1st time take car from show room, full tank only manage to get 350-400km....previous i apply engine adaptation also same....but after few refuel, the FC slowly improves... |

QUOTE(kongyw @ Sep 15 2012, 09:00 PM) Arthur, they will reset ECU everytime they apply engine adaptation....did your car engine mati before the engine adaptation? i wonder if the engine adaptation you were referring to is the same as ECU refreshed? before they apply version 1.4, no mati engine issue... currently, version 1.5, first time and ONCE, so far mati engine... |

QUOTE(GoldenHawk @ Sep 19 2012, 11:45 AM) Which you prefer: means u only convenient to go to COSE only?1) Being bounced back & forth from SC to SC because they "need to check with HQ" for every single thing; or 2) Go to HQ, sit there until someone gets you a conclusive answer, although its 4 hours later? It depends on severity of issue-lah bro... like my case, I have no where to go EXCEPT CoSE. Unless you have a better suggestion of course... in my case, i went to several Edar SC, yes, need to refer back to HQ, or they said never encounter such problem before, or, biasala/normal la for all preve...then i change my mind goto EON SC instead, they also need to refer HQ, but not every single problem, and they really take action compare to Edar SC which talk cock sing song only... so far i'm very satisfied with the EON SC i went to, everytime very responsive to all the problems i stated to them. |

QUOTE(GoldenHawk @ Sep 19 2012, 02:00 PM) Well, that's not a solution, is it? Just rants... But maybe if you run a service center in the near future, I'll drop by & take an Evora while you fix mine... it is better u listen to the reviews by those who went to those SCs which provide good service...not plainly because SC said "need to refer HQ", then u go COSE....COSE is even worst than most of the SC out there (from what i read the reviews from those who went there)They give free coffee though Not really. Left with no choice actually just now, got one good review on Maluri SC, if its okay to u, why dont u go there instead? |

QUOTE if engine adaptation, ecu reflash, if cvt adaptation, tcu reflash. But u can do cvt adaptation manually(not update to newer version, but help in addaptive program) by fully press the footbrake, slot N - R - N - D - N - R - N - D -N - R countless of time as many as u can and stop around 3 scnd each gear slot, to help the tcu learning(adaptive program)in releasing clutch which immitate city driving condition. Cvt adaptive program learn through out gear change when u drive. And sometimes it takes time to learn. Thats why it become better n better through out time. That is the short cut way by using method i mentioned. But reflashing to a new version means new calibration. Regardless ecu@tcu adaptation@reflash, need a laptop@computer to do that. If just using simple tools such padt, that is just reset@clearing trouble code. this is what mat79 told me when i ask him whether engine adaptation=ecu reflash... two weeks ago when i went for 5k service, the mechanic said got new engine adaptation, means it is new ECU.. i think should share this out to all for Manuacl CVT Adaptation as mentioned by mat79... just keep repeat N-R-N-D with each slot stop for 3 secs interval... give it a try, no harm doing this... |

QUOTE(Gigabit @ Sep 24 2012, 01:34 PM) Bro arthur88, cannot find ppl help me capture video/picture...impossible i know kagebushinnojutsu.....outside noise reduce, feels more solid when closing door...Have you completed your DIY on the soundproof rubber seal? Can post some pictures? Notice any difference apart from having difficulty to close the door? but if u do foam, it would be way better as i just tested on Aaronz car...both of us have mini TT and drove around highway... but now rear left door got rubber falling off again...due to first time i didnt do it correctly, i left extra rubber there without cutting it.... |

QUOTE(Gigabit @ Sep 24 2012, 02:25 PM) Haish...take picture also give excuses...post for the benefit of the people here lor....outside door reduction maybe only 5 - 10%. No question about the solid sound of door closing. Foam is way above my budget. No doubt on the effectiveness of the product. For me, i just stick the rubber with acrylic tape bought from outside. if just take pictures, i do not get u why need to see mine as mine is the same as yours... i searched back ur post, u even got post out link in prevoc.org by 187 about his/urs rubber...but the rubber i put not as much as his...
