Well, most games are depicted from anime. Anime releases their show, fans loved them, game companies decide to make a game out of it. So most game cosplays are actually from anime.

Well, FF is abit different tho.
FF isn't from any anime franchise. Its actually a game made famous and then decided to go anime. Check out the anime ova, well imho it sucks.

Yeah I agree with you tho, anime turned game do sucks ass but hey look at DBZ, although many fail attempts but its still enjoyable (think budokai series).
