maybe you sure verify that php modules is exist and the apache's httpd.conf file is correctly configured.

This is a weird problem, under localhost/xampp/status.php it is ACTIVATED, but under karhoe.dyndns.org/xampp/status.php is is deactivated

that is probably because the server is only allowing local connections to execute PHP scripts.
I don't use XAMPP, so look around for some kinda option which allows remote connections to execute php scripts. |

You should test the web server with a php scripts. See whether can run or not..

I tried the demo PHP script provided with the XAMPP installer, PHP script cannot be executed under remote conneciton but can be executed if it is executed from localhost
