QUOTE(davidcch07 @ Sep 7 2012, 08:13 PM) DRIP stands for dividend Reinvestment Plan.basically, you can have a large portion of entitled dividend given to you in shares. Info from http://www.bursamalaysia.com/market/listed...cements/1060301 Extracted Info: 1. Interim Cash Dividend in which an electable portion of RM0.28 (RM0.21 net of taxation) per Maybank Share held can be elected to be reinvested into new Maybank Shares and the remaining portion of RM0.04 (RM0.03 net of taxation) per Maybank Share will be paid in cash. 2. (“Price Fixing Date”) at RM8.40 per new Maybank Share example: if you have 1000 maybank shares. You will get 25 extra maybank shares as dividend. 1000x0.21 / 8.40 = 25 |

QUOTE(simplesmile @ Sep 7 2012, 08:50 PM) You mean you have to fill in the DRIP form everytime there's a dividend? If one year 4 times dividend, then have to goto post office 4 times? yea, for Maybank DRP, must fill up DRP form, attach stamp hasil and post it...I read that overseas there's no charges for issuing the dividend shares into your CDS account if you opt for DRIP. So, DRIP is better compared to taking the cash dividend and then buying the same stock because this will incur brokerage fee. oversea different, Malaysia different. Another advantage is you get DRP shares at discounted pricing |

QUOTE(GloryKnight @ Sep 9 2012, 11:11 PM) IF QE3 goes through, expect a certain time in the future where the GFC will be much much and much worse than the one that happened in 2010/11. dont bet on the commie currency.US dollar will be so sucky and they pull the whole word down with them. Printing money will NOT help anything substantial. They are just printing money from basically NOTHING. The money paper bill is worthless. Im expecting to invest in commodities or best, metals i.e gold. I could stock up Chinese RMB as they are the real new world power. My 200 ringgit. i have read in an article, where "soon going to be retired leaders" always worried whether himself and his family members will be prosecuted (maybe executed) after retiring. I cant find ways to convince me that this kind of country's currency is sustainable.... and freedom of speech is seriously suppressed in china. If you start a demonstration whatsoever, you wil be be executed, no question asked.... and i am sure recently i read bout china canceling settlement of forex settlements and banning few hundred brokers, just because the outgoing amount currency out of the country are too much. what about those loses suffered by those forex brokers.......who going to compensate them.... |

QUOTE(yok70 @ Sep 18 2012, 04:07 PM) The Asean Trading Link kicks start this afternoon for Malaysia, Singapore. more like publicity show, i havent heard anything too. Most probably its not for small fish retail traders like us.It says there will be only one broker executing a trade instead of one in each country. Should this reduce our cross country transaction fees?? Why not inform by our broker?? http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/business-ne...ading-link.html Added on September 18, 2012, 4:10 pm wah! i never use their mobile platform yet. so it's still not mature enough to replace the PC one. This is bad actually, since tablet already 10 inch, same size with ultrabook's 11 inch. So can actually put full features onto their mobile platform. They just lazy to write 2 mobile software since handphone still only 4+ inch. I was hoping the cross country brokerage will be lower too, then i can invest in singapore REITS!!!! In another story, i was thinking of getting some TM...... QUOTE While the link may not be immediately significant to retail investors in the member countries, proponents of the link are hoping that value would be created by allowing international investors easier access to Asean through the trading link. They means small fish retail trader wont benefit much from this .... This post has been edited by john123x: Sep 18 2012, 05:59 PM |

QUOTE(gark @ Sep 19 2012, 06:42 PM) Apa kind heart? More like shrewd, using companies he control to donate to a university he founded. So all the other minority shareholder also 'forced' to donate lah. If he kind heart should donate from own packet... sound like there is a big hanky panky corruption behind the scene. The university does not benefit Malaysians much since 80% of the 'charity' university from from overseas... whether he withdraw money from uni to his pocket, no one knows..... |

A W is always far safer than Investment Bank CWs.. peace to all of you? one is an idealist dreamer that thinks SC will fight for investor's rights and protection. and another one is a realist that knows SC dont give a damm to us retail traders, and the Investor Protection and the stupid UMA reply is pure bullshit. Anyway, I like you all. You all are far better than the irresponsible kasset vroom vroom lady that now dissapear already like a wind..... But i must mention, SC filed suing for insider trading is not for the sake of investors, but the sake of earning some pocket money for SC.
If SC really care for investor, they should at least suspend UMA counters This post has been edited by john123x: Sep 20 2012, 11:44 PM |
