QUOTE(cherroy @ Oct 3 2012, 03:28 PM) Yes. Oh wow.. never knew this. Thanks for the info sifu But investment bank can own Maxis share now at Rm7.00 to hedge against the rise. or the investment bank already own the Maxis share prior before issue the CWs. So they are not in position to lose. But CWs, can be a way to hedge against downside risk of Maxis share they own. as you have 2 scenario 1. Maxis share surge more than RM7.25, they lose some on CW, but gain on Maxis share they owned. Since the CWs is issued at a premium, the gain of Maxis share should be more than loss in CW. 2. Maxis share plunge or below RM7.25, they gain from CW issued , while the gain from CWs should be more than enoughs CW (as is issued at a premium to market price) to cover the lose of Maxis share owned. So net to net, still gain. So see who is the winner? |

Bsdreit another 2mil shares done, looks like the land revaluation going to be good.
Edit: Anyone know why the bsdreit announcement in aug'12 said that their valuation is conducted in 2009 but their last revaluation is in 2011. http://www.bursamalaysia.com/market/listed...cements/1034085 http://www.bursamalaysia.com/market/listed...ncements/875404 This post has been edited by Max Soh: Oct 5 2012, 11:03 AM |

QUOTE(ham_revilo @ Oct 5 2012, 01:17 PM) after calculating the risk what's next? putting up money hoping everything goes well and company makes money and share price rocket. The difference is that gambling depends a lot more on luck rather than calculations/research.btw, its just my point of view. hopefully i did not start a fire |
