The only one reason I would have bought UEM would be based on charts.
I have told you before that I use charts but charts don't use me.
I guess UEM is a good example to explain this.
smile.gif

I guess charts are good as the entry points when u use them for turnaround companies hmm.gif

I am kinda lazy to study charts, and no good to identify which entry points are good to buy yawn.gif

Maybe u could help nod.gif

Man Best Friend looks like chances for more rebounding in the afternoon hmm.gif

Bank looks good also.

I am actually half bucket water with my charts la.
I note most of the simple issue, like what is the current trend, overall trend, trendlines, support and resistances nia.
The lilin I use is for birthday cakes.
Neither do I use indicators.
MAs, RSI, bands, etc etc draws far too many lines on the charts.  rclxub.gif

100% on TA might not work as well, things like QE 3 and Euro crisis and so on .

Things charts may not overwrite like the sentiments of the up and down of Dow. hmm.gif

stay forever in stocks until they increase interest rates (which unlikely will ever happen)
keeping cash is suicide

Finally I see sky gor agree on TA! yes for me TA is just only looking for entry signal and exit signal !

TA is a planning to make TP, CL and Risk Reward ratio...  brows.gif

perhaps I can give u a nice entry but you have to teach me more about SA  blush.gif
*
SA may clash with TA icon_rolleyes.gif

IF bankers keep pushing down Affin, the stock may be considered as weak.

But just part of the SA activities, later the stock like Affin may rebound with very little volumes, again may not sound good to TA also.

brows.gif  TA is just a tool.. all company sharks are using them too.. they can draw the chart nicely... it might be a shakeout for TA also !

but what my TA mind is.. to spot entry point and exit ! so u wont trade in the fog... have a better view in stock trading.. hehehe...
just my half a cent view tongue.gif

Well said nod.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

that is why I use more on FA, financial results are less erasable.

I kinda chicken with TA saying that one day strong buy and suddenly become strong sell the next day.

FA tends to be a bit more permanent , unless conditions changed but not so fast.

U are right, those used solely TA on Ingen could be badly burnt too.

I like yr early warnings. icon_rolleyes.gif

lol....

but with FA and TA combine, its a very good tool. TA is always good to know when to enter and probably when to sell (if you tend to sell)

i still remembered when i traded UOA, it goes up hit resistance at 1.5x, then retreat to 1.4x. made some profit out of that and i was lucky that this cycle happen 4 times. smile.gif
*
Depending whether u want to place FA above TA or not.

Yr example may not work well for Ingens aka co without fundamentals.

Not bad to look for co gives u plenty of capital repayments too.

Better still if u put in rm 1.1 , the co gives u back 60sen in future , and the co still worths rm 2 and above.

Effectively u are paying 50sen to get rm 2 lor.

on the contrary, i see minimal risk in this counter  blush.gif
no doubt it is one of the worst performer if you compare with other larger banks in m'sia
but i think it only needs time for the valuation to catch up and i believe it is on the track

1. the recent quarterly reports are good
2. the 50% divvy policy.. based on the annualized earnings, the divvy could be around 20cents.. at current price, the yield is almost 6%
3. epf has been net buyer for the past few months (based on announcements up to 7th sept, i believe epf could be the one suppressing the price recently and accumulating on it)

newsflow and m&a are sort of additional benefits.. and i think the downside for this counter is minimal atm
especially when QE3 is already announced.. as for ge, i don:t think it would affect the earnings badly.. plus, i am comfortable with the 50% divvy policy  biggrin.gif

Yup. Singapore REITs FTW!

I have:

CapitaMall Trust - 5% yield
Suntec REIT - 7% yield
Frasers CentrePoint Trust - 6% yield
CACHE - 8% yield
AIMS AMP - 10% yield
Sabana - 8% yield
First REIT - 8% yield
Plife REIT - 5 % yield
icon_rolleyes.gif  thumbup.gif

But they are some stocks paying rm one special dividends in coming one to 2 years, far exceeding the 10% annual yield. hmm.gif

Cannot really talk of financial Independence as a single person ( temporary ) , and later becomes financial dependence when forming a family unit, unless one intends to stay Single in his lifetime.

And in Asian Culture, could be some responsibility to look after their elderly parents too esp in health care matters.

So what one person may intend to achieve could differ to another in a big way.
