you can still dev app for ur stock phone without root, just rmb to enable usb development debugging in ur settings.

different from physical is..ICS with new interface.. and for sure much better..
ICS make lag cause it not perform fully 1ghz thats only...its around 800mhz like that..

never more then 10 sec..if install or uninstall any app or games very fast..even that game 300mb..

Here are updates on battery life after rooting. The apps I used is Droidwall, RAM manager, Root Explorer. Total battery life is 18hours. Normal use, it wasnt on vibrate, wifi turned on most of the time. Only adjusted the display settings and the apps running on the back ground. Awesomeness =) add me up on the xperia users. White and naked =) AP set some more. Hehe

FYI if using like ram manager or task killer...do u know when u end all unnecessary running app using 3rd party software..... ur app will restart not stop...so conclusion is..it will eat ur battery and make ur phone slow cause the app restart not 100% stop..if u want to know..u try it ur self..go use ram killer or task killer end all running app...then go to setting -> app -> running.. it will restart or stop.. good luck
