Not attractive to them, but it doesn't concern us. It's good time to pick up good things that are hated icon_idea.gif

Hmmmmm is it the 10% tax to be higher sad.gif

Then little incentive to monetise assets in REITs already, might as well don't list REITs

bond yield rising becoz the price supress ? how come when reits facing sell down..then bond also facing sell down ?

where the money goes ? vanish or write off....

is "QE tapering"  aka  "Vanishing the printed money"
*
Why bond yield rise?
Because investors dumping bonds.
Supply > Demand = Price dropping
price drop = yield rise

Bond is looked at as the "safest" investment

Let's say, bond yield is 4%, and your favourite REIT is yielding 4.5%, who in sane mind would want to hold the REIT? Of course buy bond lo biggrin.gif

CIMB says Net Gearing for HEKTAR is 65.8% last year, and 67.5% this year (forecast). How it comes out with this figure?

From HEKTAR's latest finance results:

Current liabilities - bank borrowings - 0
Non-current liabilities - bank borrowings - RM436,100,000
Total assets - RM1,066,253,815
Total unitholders' fund - RM597,304,215
Cash & bank balances - RM25,076,906
*
Liabilities less Cash / Unitholders' fund = 68%

I presume, I'm not that familiar with gearing calculation for REITs wink.gif

Caught Carlsberg at 14.00, rather get Carls than IGBREIT, at least better growth opportunity.

IGBREIT, I won't top up until my paper loss hit 10%

Don't forget 90% of the ingredients for making beer need to import - barley, grains, malt, hops, etc... The high USD will not be good for them. Also our country is desperate for revenue, betcha the tax will go up. nod.gif
