I was just thinking of doing something like this, but also including item donations as well.

Organisation post their needs and volunteers or donors can see what they can contribute.

It seems pretty hard to find information about charity organisations in Malaysia, especially if you're not interested in joining a religious group.

this concept is actually more than that.. it creates a culture of volunteerism and also a community of volunteers

Would be great to have a site like this. However, I do feel that organisations should be prepared to have a high turnover rate as many people can't commit long-term with a fully loaded work schedule. Maybe short-term or rotating volunteers would be the norm.
