I got a Lumia 920 last week and noticed that Windows Phone 8 does not have many apps. Even Whatsapp was taken down for a while due to some issues with the apps.
Anyone has any good recommendation on apps for the phone?

Tried whatsapp on the Lumia 920. Whatsapp on this phone is super buggy, slow in loading and slow in updating. Very sad. Didn't even detect my Contacts/Favourites on Wifi till I installed it a second time!

Yes. The Whatsapp is the new version. It it slow and buggy. Loads like crap too. Even after re-installing.
I noticed as well there is no automatic updates of the apps you have. Its a very manual way of going to the Store and having to click on all the applications which you had installed to see if the Update button comes up. Very, very frustrating!

I meant the apps are NOT automatically updated whenever there is a new version.
This is being discussed in a lot of forums and is very, very annoying and frustrating. I had to manually search for updates for all my apps by going to the Store and clicking on the apps in the Store which I have downloaded to update them manually..and I had to search for everyone of the apps which I downloaded manually too!

QUOTE(rhoyo @ Jan 3 2013, 11:51 AM) hmm was wondering is there a way to kill an app without going backwards ? .. or forever will be back back .. Some applications have the exit/quit button but most do not. Clicking back will also not kill some applications straight away; some will still operate in the background. To not let them operate. Go to Settings --> Applications --> Background tasks --> Block all.

QUOTE(s7ran9er @ Jan 3 2013, 10:19 AM) it will get better overtime. I doubt so. Send it in and get a new battery if you've tried everything and the battery still drains like crazy. Mine drains very quickly with minimal usage as well.

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Jan 3 2013, 12:39 PM) Some mention they solve their battery issue by uninstalling Skype and Facebook apps then reinstall them again. U tried that? I only have Whatsapp on my phone which I reinstalled twice.. Have not installed Skype or Facebook on the phone yet.
