QUOTE(skyline100 @ Oct 6 2012, 09:14 AM) http://mynokiablog.com/2012/10/05/nokia-lu...sd370gbp460eur/ That's highly unlikely. Even the Iphone 4s is priced more than Rs40,000. But phones are much expensive in India due to some tax and all that. This India site selling 600USD, I hope they price it similarly in Malaysia Not sure if the site is reliable though... |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Oct 12 2012, 11:01 PM) i decided to get note 2 quite impressive over lumia. Even yesterday i ask shop about nokia they dont even want to accept trade in and another dont even sell its screen protector for lumia series. WTF It's called ignorance, the mass market just follows trend. Iphone and Samsung are the big names now. A lot of people don't bother researching and are just falling into the trap supplied by the companies. Therefore what Nokia has to do now is market the new Lumia series properly. Because compared to other WP8 devices, Lumia range has the upper hand in the hardware stand of point, with additional apps and support provided by Nokia themself. If WP8 phone becomes a success, which I expect it will, the ecosystem will grow and the possibilities are endless. From gaming to connecting, etc together with Windows 8 it will be complete. |

QUOTE(hadykucing @ Oct 22 2012, 07:54 PM) If you've never used WP before, not understood what WP can do, are currently an android user now, not patient enough, go for Note 2. But on the other hand, if you know what WP is capable, willing to wait, have patience to learn new things, then wait for the Lumia 920. The release might be around December or January only. |

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Oct 26 2012, 07:32 PM) Are you for real? Look at the success of their Galaxy series. The worldwide success of S2, S3 and Note. If that is not being good, I really don't know what is. The success if Samsung because there were never real contenders against apple's reign. And samsung was early to the war and in the beginning they succeeded by copying apple. And then they got people stuck to their hardware race. Quadcores, 1-2gb ram, etc. So the success of Samsung was cause people saw Samsung as a representation for Android. That aside, I'm not saying anything is wrong with samsung. They produce good phones. But putting WP platform concerned, they're just not bringing anything new to the game like the other competitors especially Nokia. They're putting in more innovations in a phone. |

QUOTE(PeeEl @ Oct 28 2012, 10:27 AM) The point of contention here is Samsung makes good phones which the earlier forummer erred in saying they do not but later admitted it was written wrongly. Yeah Samsung does and I agreed to that also. But since we're in a WP8 thread i was speaking on the basis of WP phones only. And yes, their prowess if you will is in the Android platform. For Windows, they may be lacking behind, at least at this point in time. You get no argument on that. It is just their business strategy to concentrate on Android, riding on their present success but still be not left behind by having a foot in the Windows market. At this moment, I believe Windows = Nokia. Cheers. QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Oct 28 2012, 01:52 PM) I dont understand fanboys? when i talk too much over lumia ppl think i crazy about it, if i talk more about android i also fanatic so what are you guys? So if i talk about iOS i also the same. Hi, you call someone that talk against an android phone in a WP thread fanboy? I'm not trying to say that u are wrong or whatsoever, but think about it dude. You are talking about Note 2 which is clearly not a Nokia phone and clearly not a WP phone, people are bound to react against it. And people have been reacting nicely only by saying 'hey u really like ur phone' and etc. But ur reply is that they are a fanboy? That's like eating a chicken rice in a house full of vegetarians and shouting about how nice the chicken tastes. Its disrespectful and misleading. I'm not saying that ur wrong and its not wrong in expressing ur opinion. You got the right intention but just not at the right place. Cheers. I am curious so you are buying the device because you are loyal fanboys or what gives the best value? My intention of sharing is not wanna see how indepth your fanboyism but to give you a 3rd perspective from my research when you plan to buy. I did my research over few weeks from a person that used iOS, android ,WP7.5,meego and symbian. I apologized i cant follow your steps of fanboys. So my intention to share with you the benefits i found so u have a balance to decide which suitable for you. I have lumia 800 and 900 dont tell me i cant compare with other phones i have? Do you know how the price of lumia phone drop like from 1799 to today about 1k in matter few months Now Lumia 900 trade in value for shop only about RM500 - RM800. From its retail price of RM1799. On the other hand. Another set of low light photos of Lumia 920. Here This post has been edited by murv90: Oct 28 2012, 04:16 PM |

QUOTE(RyoKenzaki @ Oct 29 2012, 09:45 PM) Actually from what i seen in l920's night pic, it indeed takes better exposure pic but the quality is bad, might as well dont take lol.... Aside from that, no real time notification really suck, now i have to reconsider jumping to window phone.... Have you carefully looked at This? In terms of low light performance 920 outdoes all the other phones and quality wise its only behind the 808 pureview. This post has been edited by murv90: Oct 30 2012, 02:27 PM |
