QUOTE(azraeil @ Dec 9 2012, 10:13 PM) Here's a sample photo taken in my living room. It's a dark living room only lighted by table lamps. I loled. In short, Lumia920 can trash all other competitor in term of low light performance? While the day light performance is mediocre?Hmmmm can't seem to attached the photo. Maybe because it's 2.4MB for the photo from the iPhone 4s? Let's see if I upload to flickr if that will work. The one below is taken with the iPhone 4s http://www.flickr.com/photos/90974380@N08/.../in/photostream This is taken by the Lumia 920 http://www.flickr.com/photos/90974380@N08/.../in/photostream |

QUOTE(Rei7 @ Dec 9 2012, 11:08 PM) Get the contract one. I usually use mine for 1 or 2 years and then change. So a contract is not a problem for me. Yup, currently planning to get the shortest and cheapest contract one from digi. It will mean you get 24GB of data (for 12 months) at only RM176.Here are some sample shots taken by Engadget. http://www.engadget.com/gallery/nokia-lumi...0-sample-shots/ Do you know if we can make the subscription at real digi store instead of at online store? Just go and tried the demo set.
Mythbusted: brickphone, bezelbuf, overweight you actually won't notice the bezelbuf issue. And the weight isn't anywhere significantly heavier than my 130g Mozart. It is also perfect fine for one handed usage(provided you don't have shorter than average fingers). Undocumented issues: yellowish screen(especially when displaying white color) and swipe between home page and apps list isn't as smooth as I expected The screen somehow a little too yellowish(I asked the salesman and he say that probably is illusion cause by yellow colored case, lol) especially when the screen is set to lower brightness. May be I should have a look at other stores to see if it is an isolated case. For the not smooth sliding part. Somehow I feel like the swiping animation is delayed or lagged, not as smooth or direct like my Mozart. Only few times being pinned so I think it isn't the issues with too much tiles. The larger screen also caused the swiping to be stepped(hard to explain, it is like 2 actions). If swipe and release fiber quickly, won't have such issue. Btw, the clear black is really impressive enough for a LCD. This post has been edited by Human10: Dec 21 2012, 09:18 PM |

QUOTE(azraeil @ Dec 22 2012, 12:21 AM) For QR Code, press the search button (the one next to the windows button) and there's an icon like an eye, that's the scanner. How about the issues I stated just now?As for MMS, check your access points in the settings. I think you can setup an APN for Digi's MMS there. Added on December 22, 2012, 12:23 am The demo unit must have been screwed up. Trust us when we say that the response is way faster and very very sensitive. I'm not experiencing any lags whatsoever. Battery seems to be doing okay but I'm still having issues when surfing with 3G, the units heats up and battery drains really really fast when the unit heats up. Still contemplating if I should do a hard reset. It's been close to 4 weeks and I have a lot of data in the phone. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=56975897 |

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Dec 22 2012, 07:32 PM) I no idea for note 2 got wireless charging or not, but since s3 got normally note 2 also got right For S3, you will need a wireless charge compatible back plate/battery (not sure if it being released in the market already or not).and I no idea need the wireless charging cover LOL if really need then forget about it on lumia 920, no need any wireless charging cover right ? just buy the wireless charging kit (what the price) and charge that all ? For Lumia 920, it is already integrated in the phone. For Lumia 820, you also need to buy and change the back plate. http://www.nokia.com/my-en/products/accessory/cc-3041/ This post has been edited by Human10: Dec 23 2012, 12:52 AM |

QUOTE(skyline100 @ Dec 24 2012, 09:08 PM) Not in my case, I type in proper english too, but then sometimes I'll add in some slang like "lah, mar, meh", and also some hokkien, cantonese, etc... Type out your word in message there. If it is not recorded in the phone, manually select (touch) the word you just typed. Later you should see a + [the word you typed]. Press and proceed with it. Also, words/dot will be auto-corrected after space. So incase your words get mis-corrected, press the autocorrected word just now and select back the uncorrected word. Add it into the phone's dictionary incase you will use it again in the future. This post has been edited by Human10: Dec 24 2012, 09:56 PM |

QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Dec 25 2012, 03:01 PM) They are changing for the better for sure, but they need to put in bigger batteries in their phones. The Droid DNA/J Butterfly is a monster in specs but i dont know how well it will do with only 2100mAh, which seemed like a no-brainer. Instead of lack of marketing, I personally think like it is due to their ego.HTC's main prob is their marketing... You dont see them do aggressive advertising like Samsung and Nokia does. They already seeing that their sales dropping after Samsung becoming mainstream 1/2years back, but they still working in their own ways and doesn't listen to customers' demands (bigger battery, updates, SD cards(if not, at least put in a more suitable/convincing amount) and so on), which in the end driven its customers to rivals. QUOTE(willsonloo @ Jan 5 2013, 07:53 PM) just now go open skydrive just know i got a skydrive account Check for the news. LYN owned posted the news that MS decide to change SkyDrive back from 25GB to 7GB, and giving a limited period (around a week or 2, I forgotten) for certain users (who used it b4 that time) to upgrade to 25GB for free.i accidentally update some photo skydrive at year 2009 -.- but they just give me 7gb only As WP7 user, I naturally had used it and eligible for the 25GB upgrade. Added on January 5, 2013, 8:50 pm QUOTE(EXkurogane @ Jan 5 2013, 08:37 PM) I dont see WP beating out Android anytime soon, but it could be a solid 3rd competitor eating into both market shares of iOS and Android. WP will be serious stuff when it reaches the stage of WP9 next year. It's Microsoft who is behind WP, and, as a software giant im sure they know what they are doing. Better safe than sorry. Don't ever give your rivals a chance to grow.Im not that worried about Nokia, but i only hope Blackberry 10 lives up to expectations, they are in deeper sh!t than Nokia. The more variety the better.
