Engadget says Nokia is using different type of plastic for the 920:

" The finish of the body has changed slightly, with the 4.5-inch screen now blending gently into its polycarbonate border -- a nod to the "sinuous tapering" of the original, awesomely-built Lumia 800. But, on the downside, what once was matte and grippy is now a polished, glossy affair. It's a design decision that we wish Nokia hadn't made, since it lends a cheapness to the handset that belies its hearty internals"

Rumours say 920 is going to be sold for USD 750+.

That'll make it cost around the same as SGS3 or even more.

Apple used to sell iPods and iPod Minis in various colours.

I just wish Nokia used matte instead of glossy for their colourful Lumia 920s. They interviewed one of the Nokia designers why they changed and all he said was because Glossy is "awesome". Like dodging the issue. If so awesome why the black and gray ones still matte?

That's why Nokia is inconsistent. If always better, then they should use it for all colours, right? Anyway I'm not a fan of glossy because of all the smudges it easily collects.

Aluminium feels more premium than any kind of plastic though... kinda torn. I know the 920 will probably have a slightly better camera... but not sure if it's worth the weight.

Nokia isn't that smart. They can't even con people properly with their YouTube ads. The real reason they are delaying the 920 and 820 is because of Microsoft. Windows Phone 8 isn't even complete yet, how to announce a release date for their phones?

Actually it's not that surprising. Apple's processing software for the iPhones have always been good. They managed to make 2MP pictures look good all the way back to the original iPhone. The pictures usually come out good without much effort from the user.

The 920's camera is overrated. GSMArena's review about the camera: "We'll go right ahead and rip the band aid off for you - the photos are average. We took a Samsung Galaxy S III, a Nokia 808 PureView and an iPhone 5 with us while shooting samples with the 920, so we have grounds for comparison."

The camera in the 920 isn't as great as most people think, at least for daytime photos.

Is there a gray version being sold in Malaysia?

Ah a pity. I like the Gray matte colour I've seen in videos so far.

I was testing this phone just now in Bangsar Village 2. Not bad but I am worried about WhatsApp - is it available if I select Malaysia region instead of USA region?

New black 920 owner here. Man this phone is really fast. And WP8 looks and feels a lot better when you are using it.

They added the stickers next to the camera strip on my phone.

If this is true, it's really silly of them. They might lose potential customers who can't get the Lumia and just buy another phone for Christmas. And Nokia is depending on early adopters to how other people what WP8 can do. Short-sighted gains don't mean much in the long run.

I bought Lumia 920 yesterday, still no reboots yet. Maybe because I didn't install updates and installed a few apps only (WhatsApp and Facebook)

Black and white should still have. Red and yellow may not have stock.

So far I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Was considering getting an Android phone at first - SGS3 or HTC One X+. But I'm glad I took the plunge to try WP8 and the 920. The build quality is fantastic, and I'm glad the black variant uses matte plastic instead of glossy plastic. The whole phone looks very elegant.

And once you customize the live tiles with photos, the home screen can look pretty good.

Does anybody know a trick or method where we can make a fake tile that doesn't really do anything but displays an image we want?

Hmm actually those results aren't bad. The review says "If your phone usage habits are similar to our hypothetical usage, you can get two days out of the Lumia 920′s battery."
