Thanks for your post. I decided to add another credit card this time for my US Channel and used my MasterCard. I used my freight forwarding address in the US and this seems to work. Managed to buy one App today from the US store so I am quite happy.

It's color matched with your unit and I have to say the build is pathetic. Not even close to the quality that you get with an iPhone. I used it once and then left it in the box.

@stringfellow uses a matte SP that he bought from Nokia Store Low Yatt and he says that it's working fine. So when I go back to KL next week, that's the first thing I will do. It's winter here in Saudi but in a couple of months, the sandstorms will come through and you will have sand everyone and that will surely scratch the glass, I might have to find a case as well. My Lumia after 1 month of use has scratches on the back however it's not very visibile but if you look closely, you'll see it. There was a sandstorm a couple of weeks ago and I suspect that's where I got all those scratches ..... ohh well.

Do not be fooled with all those videos showing how "durable" the Lumia 920 is. If you dropped on the a concrete floor or the road and it fell face first, the glass will shatter. If you have sand in your pocket and it grinds agains the body or the glas, it will scratch so just do what needs to be done. A bit dissappointed because the phone is heavy enough but now have to think of protecting it as well .....

If it does not affect the warranty, I say take it off!!!

battery life is so-so, almost similar to my iPhone 4s. I'm on 17 hours with 22% left and spent it moderately, 10 minutes on Skype, 30 minutes surfing and now whatsapping with my family and 2-3 minutes downloading a 20MB apps. The CPU heats up really fast when I use 3G and when it heats up, battery drops like a rock one. The battery status app has been updated and it now include a graphing utility and you can see the drop. Maybe I'll post it tonight. Have had to use the airplane mode a couple of time (this is what I gather on the fastest way to cool down the CPU).

Some people say it's because of SKype (since it's still in Preview) and as for me, I think it was caused by Facebook. I haven't had any reboots for the last 2 weeks (I had a total of 5 reboots for the last one month) and I guess it's probably due to the updates that I have installed (Extra +, Display +, Facebook etc etc). Try and uninstall Facebook and Skype and see how it goes. Reinstall them again and monitor as well.

It looks like Nokia Music is able to detect your Sim Card. The Mix Radio is only available to select countries only (mostly Europe and US). I had the same problem but after I updated to the latest Nokia Music, I managed to get Mix Radio again (I don't know how) and that is one reason why I am reluctant to do a hard reset on my Lumia 920.

Go to http://www.windowsphone.com and you can do a search of the available apps in the ecosystem. But to answer your question, yes WP8 has foursquare.

The contact list is under People. Or you can go to Phone and click on the address book and it will also open People.

And do it before 13th of January 2013 as Google will disable this feature after that date.

Settings --> keyboard --> Click on the language keyboard --> Deselect anything you want.

1.Suggest Text
2. Highlight missplled words
3. Correct Misspelled Words
4. Insert a space after selecting a suggestion
5. Insert a Period after double-tapping the SPACEBAR
6. Capitalize the first letter of a sentence

So you can choose away things you don't want.

bad habits are hard to break? heh heh heh .....

I have the same issue. Once the phone heats up, the battery drain is horrible. 30% in one hour is okay, try 20% in 15 minutes. This only happens if you use 3G though. If you use wifi, not so bad. Seriously thinking of hard-resetting my phone.

Try this though, once you feel like the phone is warming up, switch on airplane mode and let it cool. I find that this saves the battery a bit.

Hey thanks!, I was looking for this. I remember MS mentioning Data Sense but nothing happened on that front.

Switching on 3G will not heat the phone but using it (i.e. continuously surfing for 30-40 minutes straight like Facebook, downloading apps etc) on 3G will heat up the phone. Some have this issue while others don't so a bit perplexed why this is happening.

Based on the posts in the Nokia Discussion forum, Skype might be the culprit .... damn. And I use Skype all the time. Ohh well, let's see (for testing purposes) if I uninstall skype, what will happen. I'll report back in a couple of days.

Anyone knows how I can automatically download images in my email? Right now my email (Gmail, hotmail) will download everything except images and it will take an extra touch to download the images which is annoying.
