Hi guys,

Thanks again for the replies. Fiesta would be useful as it's nimble and agile(really my style of driving), does not have to be super fast just agile and balanced.

But now Xeda is really giving me a thought as the Inspira is quite worth it. with the amount of features and space.

Fiesta or elantra. Forte is downright ugly and buying a city will get you flamed in this forum.

Can i ask why? It is not good?

Features wise the Preve would be a much better choice. Plus Stability Control is a very important safety feature regardless of your driving speed.

Why not Preve? It has the best specs and quite a powerful engine for the turbo. Any problems with it?
*
being the budget is 100k...i would go for inspira instead of preve as well
i will only choose preve is budget is lower and tight
choose inspira purely becuz of the engine and gearbox being mitsu
and the fact that the engine uses timing chain and its a 2.0L....2.0L will always be a 2.0L, nothing can replace that

well since design is subjective, i'd say quality wise will make one think thrice and im speaking of proton in general. but i guess what you pay is what you get.

Fiesta is a good car, from what I have heard and from reading up on other people's experience, but it was just too small for me. BUT, it's true, finding parking with my Inspira is a pain in the ass, especially if you're in a shopping mall.

Nimble and agile, come to the Inspira club's TT every friday, and we'll teach you the definition of nimble and agile. You'll be amazed at what these people do to their Inspira and how they drive it.

I swear to god, I thought I was a crazy driver, zig zagging all over the place, but these people....they hit 140 km/h on normal city roads. No shit.

On paper and specs, Preve is a better choice, if you're only looking at the specs, not the design or the fit and finishing. I test drove Preve, it drives the same, if not, better than the Inspira. But I don't like the design. It's just fugly to me.

I wonder why u say a 2.0L engine will always be that and nothing can replace that? U mean performance? Right now, the trend with most manufacturers is to go small yet increase power and output thru turbo's.

Most people are concerned with reliability. Preve is good on paper, but reliability-wise, sorry my vote goes to Inspira as well.

theres no replacement for displacement...N/A is still the best
turbo(small) just increase the torque but for horsepower not really
there are big turbo that will increase the HP but thn turbo lag
so...getting the 2.0L is still the best and the fact that its a mitsu engine(more advanced) and using timing chain is enough to convince me to take it if i have the budget

Yes. Cant really expect too much when ure only paying RM 72K+ (OTR). But its power output for the Turbo version is quite good. 138Hp (5,000RPM) and 205 Nm torque (from 2,000RPM).

Hahaha, I went to Inspira TT, and my wallet didn't koyak. You need strong anti-body to resist all sorts of poison there. They'll give you craps from adding a tiny tweeter to your car to shits like remapping your car's ECU to adjustable suspensions and bodykits.

It's like a car's accessory shop.

Oh yeah, TS, if you want to test drive and see the full potential of an Inspira, go to their TT, every Friday, at 32 square PJ. Tons of people willing to show you what an Inspira can do. Just.....well, make sure you're brave and don't piss your pants when they bring you around test-driving their Inspiras.

Then you can remove Forte. I owned for 1 month car but hear irritating rattling noise from dashboard and very difficult to fix unless take out the dashboard. Not sure about others.
Many of the current Vios also have issues with rattling dashboards. But there are many without any problems as well. Same goes for Forte or any other car for that matter. We can't generalise based on a few bad apples rite?

Preve is a good car, comes with a lot of gadgets and more safety features!

But you know lah, Proton quality. The way they asssemble the car do cincai cincai only. Since the last 12 years, I already bought 3 Proton. The latest one Exora bold CFE. First six month own a new Proton really need to to go SC and ask them fix this and that. After all the problem fix, then no need worry already.
If you got no time, then avoid Proton. icon_idea.gif

Between Inspira and Preve

Driving pleasure - Inspira
Reliability - Inspira
Gadget - Preve
Safety - Preve
Price wise - Preve
Handling - both like the same, or maybe the inspira slightly better. Preve is quite high
Modability - Inspira

It is a fact that it is a soft turbo. So set your expectation right, mr clarkson.

If money not a factor i.e. <100k, inspira vs. preve, I vote for inspira. In fact, you can get a 1-year old for RM73k+, still got another 4 years warranty. Inspira fit & finish way better. Dashboard, inside door panels, knobs, buttons all feel more solid and gives you the feeling that they can last the test of time. Proven mitsu NA engine also easier to maintain in the long run. Preve IMHO, with all its gadgets, sounds good on paper only.

If I have a choice for NA and Turbo, I will definitely go for Turbo without considering too much.
Because I appreciate higher torque than higher HP.

Normally higher HP only provides better power during high RPM and better top speed where we are seldom reach or need it in daily usage.
However, significant low end torque provided by Turbo is very useful during overtaking, hill road and city driving. You will addicted with a turbo car with plenty of torque for you to zig zag in the city or highway overtaking without shifting down your gear. cool2.gif
Moreover, turbo car serves you maximum of torque from as low as 1.xxk RPM to 4.xxk RPM, very wide range of torque spreaded compared to NA car thumbup.gif
