How strong is the strong pomade? Will it hold long enough for a day?

I think i saw something like this at bali surf shop, the can more like a kiwi shoe polish.

I'm looking for lightweight strong matte finish pomade and hopefully for a longer hold. PM me the details.

Thanks

Hi, the strong hold is good enough for our weather. It normally holds the entire working day. Im wearing it everyday so it does it job.

There are lots of brand for pomade. We handpick some of the best to get it into our market.

Before you try any pomades, i just want you to know that pomade is basically called grease. There are two types of pomade, wax/petroleum jelly base and waterbase. Huge different in terms of friendly use. Water base tends to wash of easier then wax/petroleum jelly base. The wax is an awful stuff to play with, not in our hot and humid weather. It can stay as long as 3 days of washing. So it is not too common for us to use wax base here, hence we bring in Suavecito, water base pomade.

From my understanding, if you prefer matte finish which is the direct opposite of what pomade does, there are very limited brands selling it. Pomade is very glossy finish, no matter it is wax or waterbase. It shines and provide a very slick finish when put on hair. They are more popular among fans that use pomade rather than matte pomade.

We all have our personal preference, as long as happy using the products.

Another thing is, matte pomade usually comes in bees wax form, so it is hard to wash off too.

it works well with the toughest hair we have tried. The most curliest and thickest hair. Perhaps if you dont mind, send me a photo of you and maybe i could advise from there?

It depends on which style you want to play with. Quiff, pompadour, slickback... and so on..

The things you saw in surf shops in somewhat like kimi polish are not hair product but wax for surf boards...and if u want a matte finish you should use the normal hair wax..but matt finish is so mainstream! hehehehe go sheen!! biggrin.gif you should come to the grease side and pull a slick back or pompadour!

Thanks for the input guys.

I'm usually use osis and loreal only. A bit noobish on hairstyle. But I'm interested with this, can TS pm me best price include shipping to jb.

Btw what the difference with that shiner you guys talking about? And this is same like cock grease or murray right? I'm not a sleek comb kinda guy, but i like to style my hair with fingers only. It's ok right to use this?

Sure if you like to try pomade. It will be a good new experience to you.

Shiner gold is another water base brand. Similar to Suavecito, but different smell and personal preference. Slowly when you get into it then you can explore more brands.

Cock grease have water base and grease base. But murray, hmm, dont ever touch it yet, that is the nastiest grease pomade in the world. LOL

Haha bro, thanks for the honest feedback and guidance there. =) Yeap, stay tune, we will arrange the stock the soonest as we are eager to get our hands on it.

Plus we are engaging few surprises (other brands) along the way. Wait till we confirm it then we only announce. It will be bad-ass pomades around the world. =)

Sure bro. This is the best review i have on the web. He is actually one of lyn forumer here. I could not recall which nickname he is. His blog is awesome!

http://maxmayo.com/2012/11/suavecito-pomade-malaysia-review/

Hmm about ur question, i had medium hair length too, pull down towards the nose, side is sticking out bcoz i do the old vintage style where you comb back the sides and pomp on the top. I wear the pomade everyday, 7 days a week. My can lasted me roughly 1 month plus.

If u were not wearing daily, like my fren, it can last him around 2 months per can. Well it depends on the hair condition and the style u want to do. I consider myself heavy styling everyday as i pomp and slick a lot, every inch of my hair.
