I find it very thoughtful that lyn forumer even had a section for charity.
I am glad to be one of the members.
I am not sure of how to go about the charity event me and my family are organizing for my brother as this is our first time.
So if i am wrong to post here, then please do advise accordingly.
Tips and hints would be great too.

3.How much: RM30 for walk, RM50 for 1 lot for carboot space,FREE for buying and volunteering - All money will go for charity. Sales profit goes to owner not charity.

3.Below is the short write up of my brother:
After being diagnosed with acute kidney disease, life really hasn’t been the same for Rizal. Nor has it been for his young family. He is blessed with three adorable sons, and a loving wife.

Due to his kidney failure, Rizal is now dependent on a hemodialysis machine. He goes for the treatment three times a week, spending at least 4 hours at each session. Needless to say, each session drains the energy out of him and leaves him very tired. On top of that, there are other long and short term effects of dialysis. The worst being that it shortens his life span.

Fortunately, Rizal is young, and doctors have advised that the best solution to remedy his condition is to undergo a kidney transplant.

Kidney4Daddy is a fundraising platform which was set up by Rizal’s family to help raise funds for expenses leading up to the transplant, the cost of the transplant itself and post- transplant care. There is also a dedicated Facebook page which the family uses as a platform to communicate, promote upcoming events and sell fundraising items.

Spearheading all these efforts is Rizal’s wife, Idora. She hopes the fundraising will be able to raise enough money to allow her husband to undergo the transplant which would save his life, and his family.

Motivated by her love for her husband and her family, Idora's wishes are simple. All she wants is to see her husband live a better life. Let him play with his sons without feeling tired all the time. Let him have the chance to see his sons grow to be fine young men. Let him travel around the world without having to be tied up to the machine every two days. And to let her have again the man that she married five years ago.

There’s a famous saying, a little goes a very long way. Your support in whatever form and shape will definitely go a long way for Rizal and his family.


So guys i hope you can find it in your heart and time to join the walk or rent the space (suggestion: u can sell items for other charity here too, shouldn't be a problem..but do rent the space from us) or just come to 'meramaikan' the cause.
