Goooooood Morning forum!
Just came back from abroad after a 20 year hideout and brought back with me my North American XBOX. I live in a smaller city in Johor with no Unifi as yet and the best net i can get for the place i am at is TM's fantastically slow 1MB so needless to say my KDR on FPS games is taking a royal beating...
I saw an alternative solution that promises speeds up to 20 MBS with YES.MY and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with the that particular service? its a wireless service and that alone made me a sceptic...
Also, if my XBL acct is set to Canada, does it mean when i search for games online it looks at games available there or does it look for the closest and best ping games in Asia? I noticed that all the people online are still speaking with north american accents... and if this is the case, should i be just better off getting an Asian XBL account?
anyhoo, if anyone has a minute please help a brother out...
thanks in advance!

1mb screamyx still not too bad la, me using it also gaming with players from half way across the globe will suffer as usual, but no problem with local players, smooth gaming all the way
1mb Screamyx latency is still much lower compare to 4G wimax service, which usually came with very high latency
so IMO, asian XBL + screamyx = win!

Whatever those wireless services said about their lagless line, I still think that wireless arent design for gaming.

Indeed, bandwidth does not equal latency.

Since UniFi is out of the question, best go for the 1Mb/s Streamyx, it's still better than any WiMAX or HSDPA ISP in Malaysia when it comes to gaming. Just gotta put up with the slow speeds I guess.
Also, you don't have to create a new Asian account. Just change your Locale in the System Settings to any Asian country, that will do. This should pair you up with Asian gamers online. It is also worth noting that some games will pair you up with gamers based on connection, regardless of location.
