QUOTE(dillonyong @ Sep 7 2012, 11:31 PM) I prefer Martin Skrtel as the captain instead of Lucas. Lucas is too soft. Skrtel has the Keane's fear factor. He's ready to come at you and kill you if you underperform. I like that. for this reason, lucas would rise to the occasion. i think lucas (bar injuries, would have a better consistancy in his game, that i suppose helps) skrtel, may be very vocal, however he hasn't be able to as consistant performer as lucas (i think) |

QUOTE(leftist @ Sep 10 2012, 10:26 PM) maybe roy wants to take some credit (of rise of raheem) i don't know, england is looking for another micheal owen to break from the ranks, they think they can pull (steal) a rabbit out from the jamaican watch. though who would turn down the 3 lion's (england) call. I do however feel BR should send this displeasure to Roy. raheem might be born in jamaica but i don't know his parent's nationalities. they could be from UK though. edit. ok, i guess this ends all speculation. QUOTE(dillonyong @ Sep 11 2012, 06:48 PM) Nope. The award was introduced in 2010. dislike? well, anti liverpool fc fellas too dislike our manner we won't ours. under the circumstances i think they did a 'liverpool', massively underdog against the odds, almost not able to making thru the knockout round, semi's, and then the final. what mattered was self belief. Chelsea were never outstanding last year. Dislike their style of football especially during the Champions League Final. As the saying goes "Winner takes it all". i think that brought ours. to dismiss to just 'luck' is dismiss our exceptional perseverance against Olympiakos, Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, (incredible) Chelsea route before the final at Atatürk Stadium. What's equally impressive from milan was themselves seeing off Barcelona, MU, Internazionale, PSV! After their (Chelsea) CL win, they aren't resting on their laurels, they invested heavily on transfers. While it easy to be envious, i do see our (LFC) path takes a different direction this season. there are positives but they will take time. I don't think we might be able to even show 1 trophy at the end of this season like the last but maybe in the longer haul, things will come to a upturn. (or run too short, if some of us foresee the lack of depth of cover at the bench as indication) I wouldn't dismiss chelsea CL win as disliked, little ugly but the positives i saw was much better, far, far much better then the selfishness of bayern guilty ones.. |

QUOTE(leftist @ Sep 13 2012, 04:42 PM) broad blanket blame. easy for them. it just covers up the lack of awareness & preparation of those responsible.Justice will not be fully served if they never learn from this. anyone can do lip service. Pointing fingers may be 23 years too late, but authorities need to realise and learn from it. The affected families can put rest of their pursuit. Moving on but staying committed to the cause of the victims would be the best memories. They say LiverpoolFc is always talking of the past, but it is the past that builds one's character. The fan's stay honest & loyal because this club is simply unique. YNWA |

QUOTE(carloz28 @ Sep 20 2012, 09:47 AM) Seriously, if things don't work out with BR..better get Rafa back before another cash cow backed football club hires him. Maybe FSG thinks Rafa is too expensive and had a shot before. If going by what supposedly henry's 'twitter' of a firm reply > NO to a fan (on the possibility having Rafa back). IF things turn out worse (hope not) maybe Rafa won't be considered until the likes of 'others' whom we courted (5-6 names i think) along with BR back then. This guy thinks football and watch football videos for dinner, and he loves Liverpool. I'm saying IF..... I don't think it's panic button time soon. It's FSG's call on BR. He wasn't really 'backed' on transfers, so this team is still an-on-going-process. If Rafa tinkering and tactics were difficult to understand (been called a chess games by fans), it will take time for Rodgers tactics to get into the players 'system'. This season, anything around 5th-7th place is expected or hope (depending on which side one's on), above that would be seen as a mild success given the pool of players. QUOTE 'We have nothing to lose,' I said. 'If we can relax, we can get a goal. And if we get the first goal, we can come back into the game. We have to fight. We owe something to the supporters. Don't let your heads drop. We are Liverpool. You are playing for Liverpool. Don't forget that. You have to hold your heads high for the supporters. You cannot call yourselves Liverpool players with your heads down. We have worked so hard to be here, beaten so many good teams. Fight for forty-five minutes. If we score, we are in it. If you believe we can do it, we can do it. 'Give yourselves the chance to be heroes.' They stood up and started to filter towards the door, towards the tunnel, towards the pitch. Towards history. QUOTE(Rhicebowl @ Sep 23 2012, 09:00 PM) I didnt even think much about the 96. It sure is meaningful to alot of people out there in liverpool but i dont think so it applies to us here in malaysia. We dont do tasteless chants like that because i dont see the point. Even if i ejek you with jek jek jek 96 ppl die that time lololol stupid dead people. Its not going to affect anyone of you here. Its just gona make me look distasteful and paria. I am of classy origin and i know disasters like that are not to be made a mocking. So im just going to bid you all a simple enjoy the lose tonight There is nothing classy about bragging about class distinction. To a lot of kids who don't know about the deaths of hillsborough and if you choose not even acknowledge the munich disaster, just because it wasn't your time (goggle who help or which club sent to assist the then depleted squad). You have shown how tasteless how some Manu fans are. I sure even the red devil loyalist would see u as an outcast minority. We respect history. Everyone, every kopnite respects history. It defines a person character. |

it was tough for reina. rafeal was giving too much time to sight & place a shot.
sadly, despite playing impressively, we arent putting in where is counts. like calling gerrard being a little unsuitable to play in BR's tactics. we aren't that many players who can score. (being there at the right place). the red card was rather stupid. Jonjo got the red card simply because he was deemed the "aggressor" & continued because he wanted to advance our play where else evans crapped out. having 1 man down, i knew it was difficult, but play we did. we didnt back down & parked the bus at goal. which maybe, just maybe got us caught out. There are and maybe lots of positives from Liverpool's play. The standings at the bottom will be hard to look at. all those crap out Manu fans will continue to taunt their classless crap. Even my uncle (staunch devils supporter) felt Liverpool was done for by the ref). |

QUOTE(Duke Red @ Sep 24 2012, 08:33 AM) Absolutely gutted. We lose two of our best defenders, fight valiantly though we had to play half the match with 10 men and get undone by an abysmal decision. What a load of crap. It doesn't take a lot to ensure these things don't happen again. All you need is an extra official sitting in front of a telly like we are. Well, all i will say, there is one man who created this phenomena of the acute arrogance within that club. He has demonstrated with his cockiness, to the media, to his main rivals (club), his players never hid that fact, his staunch supporters gloat in his glory. Then a bunch of (silly) simpletons took on his call, to funking knock us off the perch as a mandate to display crassness. I'm fine with the rivalry just so long as it stays clean and my rivals aren't dumbass, know next to nothing, bandwagon hoppers. Did it stay clean yesterday? Well have a look at this and tell me if it did? http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=I_uLFvJwfrc...v%3DI_uLFvJwfrc "Some" fans sang it? They have really loud voices then. Wonder why we call you scum do ya? Last week against Wigan and now in our own backyard. Then again respect is not a word they use often. The questions is who goaded who first? http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story...-united?cc=4716 ABU wasn't just us against them, every other club, the main rivals arsenal, then chelsea & even Man city all share the same sentiments against such gigantic pea brain fans. Even now, prior to last nights match, an appeal by their manager (he wrote to all & to be handed to supporters at the gate), DID they heed his call for calmness in light of the hillsborough anniversary/verdict? NO, i bet deep inside he knows/realise he manifested a such a poisonous cult of arrogant with just hatred & openness display of brag rats. Those Manu old timer will acknowledge in the days of b4 the fiery scot, fans of manu weren't like that. I can stand banters, I know about proper rivalry, My uncle, father-in-law, most of my friends are staunch Manu fan. But the trollers, the majority of clueless c*** as shown at the video, and other matches where liverpool isn't even playing there. Typical hypocrite fu*kc*nts, well, i say unfortunately it points back to the former above i mentioned. ps. the probable reason why jonjo got the red card because he look nasty (bald head) & not a goody2 shoes like evans. the devils got away with 3 points, because of poor decision(s) & inconsistency by the ref.Tell me something new >> MANCHESTER UNITED VERDICT: Winning without performing; it is a fortunate problem to have. I see this often even in every forum. (qoute was taken from the video link) QUOTE What an absolute bunch of wankers Utd fans are. QUOTE(dragontongue88 @ Sep 24 2012, 10:59 AM) As for the vile chants of Utd supporters, I'll say that those who sings about Hillsborough and Munich are a disgrace. We, as classy supporters shouldn't lower ourselves to their standard, those people should be banned for life from entering the stadium ever. hear, hear |

Unfortunately this may not be the end of our misery. (untill at least if we get to dip into transfers during mid season. We have to endure this. I know despite the poor results, we are playing well or at least playing a unit unlike the ass kissing uncle Roy.
BR, liverpool fc may not chalk in higher then roys reign (we will eventually) but deep inside all kopnites we see a young passionate (slowly maturing) players. Hopefully, the reflection of us putting good display and goals getting in, will pay off in points sooner then later. |

QUOTE(Petre @ Sep 24 2012, 12:59 PM) valencia probably lost his footing, despite the clipping just before the desperate lunge by Johnson in his hope to recover from the losing position at midfield tangle. as how plaudit neville described it, if only suarez 'held' his head under the challenge, he would have gotten the penalty call. Makes you wonder, it's no-wonder mancs have perfected the art of winning penalties. QUOTE(Duke Red @ Sep 24 2012, 03:57 PM) No idea dude. Not my area of expertise unfortunately. Can't find any news on Kelly but from the way he bent his knee, it looked like he may have torn a ligament. I'm just hoping it was a bad sprain. QUOTE MCL Knee Ligament Injury Explained The Medial Collateral Ligament is the knee ligament located on the inner side of the knee joint. It links the thigh bone and the shin bone. A knee ligament injury is referred to as a sprain, and this knee injury can occur if the knee is twisted or subject to force from an opponent during sport. The Medial Collateral Ligament is the large ligament on the inside of the knee that links the thigh bone and the shin bone. Damage to a ligament is referred to as a sprain, and depending on the severity of the injury it is classified as first, second or third degree: A first degree sprain is damage to only a few ligament fibres. A second degree sprain is damage to a more extensive number of ligament fibres, but the ligament remains intact. A third degree sprain is a complete rupture of the ligament. Because of the force involved in this injury other structures in the knee, such as the Meniscus (Cartilage) or the Anterior Cruciate Ligament can also be damaged. ![]() The injury is usually caused in one of two classic ways. In collision sports such as football (soccer), rugby, and American football, the Medial ligament can be damaged when an opponent applies a force (usually from their knee) to the outside aspect of the leg, just above the knee. Alternatively the Medial ligament can be damaged if the studs get caught in turf and the player tries to turn to the side, away from the planted leg. QUOTE(kel1506 @ Sep 24 2012, 08:52 PM) Wow~ I've been seeing someone's name here since this morning, and she's still mocking ...grow up kid and stop being so immature. doesn't type like a 'she'. (suspect)claims has class. a hollow claim, with all the showing of a pompous delusional "dudette" anyway.. in echoing tomskins words QUOTE And yet I feel strangely calm. In early 2010-11 I was panicking due to the nature of our football, which I saw as defensive, reactionary and dull, in a team full of older pros going through the motions. But right now it seems that the side are doing many of the "right" things, but not getting the breaks. ...the season starts now. we'll dust off, soldier on. I'm proud of the BR's boys display. we may still be lacking on some fronts. It would be excellent we continue the passion & belief within..... In truth, I hate it when people say "the season starts now". But seriously ... the season starts now. YNWA |

QUOTE(leftist @ Sep 25 2012, 02:59 PM) well i hope they successful..using your own tragedy to create problem for ur rival was absolutely classless bordering stupid! What a load of toosch those idiots mocking their own tragedy of Munich by taunting lfc fans "where is your famous Munich song?" Classless fu8ks. Maybe next time they will mock us just to rile us up with "where is your famous plane you mock us with?" with a few of their own doing the aeroplane dance. I cannot understand these fellas.
