Damn, I thought I was the only one thinking that Jones did okay. In fact, I m pretty impressed with his speed when Enrique made the stupid mistake. He touched the ball and pushed it...but not enough to keep it out... If it's out, fuhyoo, I think everyone gonna praise him like he is Kahn or Casillas tongue.gif

I don't think he was bad, just that he could have done better to stop those goals. The first he should have perhaps commanded the area better, i don't think Enrique would do that to Reina. The 2nd goal he was quite late to react, the ball was already half way or so before he attempted the save. The 3rd goal was class but his positioning was a bit suspect. I don't think he angled himself properly and perhaps a bit late to close down the striker. But other than that, he handled himself pretty well. Pretty confident at collecting crosses and his distribution was quite good. There was one crazy long throw he made that started a counter attack.

EP 2 airs on Sunday in the US, so it should start flooding the net by Monday.

Absolutely gutted. We were robbed today. Disgraceful refereeing and we're expected to clinch an equalizer with 9 against 12 ? Too livid too even type right now but i'm absolutely proud of the team.

Good comment by BR. I know everyone is getting nervous right now with the lack of win but now is the time to persevere and not overreact. As Rafa said, football is a lie and we can't let the medias or the FA dictates the situations for us. BR needs time to get his ideas developed. If we chop and change, we'll never know what it's like to see things through.

You could hear Brendan was screaming at Sterling on tele. He wasn't happy with his defensive display.

yes i did. mind you, im a very keen fan of football as a whole, n proud to say, a liv fan ever since i started watching footie, way back in roy evan's days. i cant rmb exactly when i started.

i know, the frustration and the fact that decisions dont go our way. point is, we should look past that. as much as this is stupid, decisions spoiling the game esp when its against yr own beloved team, to me, human error will alwiz be part of football. sad as it may sound, you just have to take it in and accept that life is unfair. i dare say suarez went down too easily at times n that disgusted me, so have gerrard dived in the past to try to salvage points for us.

bright side, we played really well, but what i actually want US to do is not play well against the so called big 4 now (us no longer in that category), but instead, play well against so called 'lesser' teams n win points from there. i'd rather us lose 3-0 to manutd but instead win our next match against norwich, or prolly other matches like for eg. against the likes of wigan, villa n all. get my drift ? we played pretty well in all the 3 matches against manc, manu n ars. but we only took 1 point from that 3 matches.

its time to admit that we're still stuck in our tunnel. as much as i'd like to say there's light at the end of it, yes there will be, it might take some time. i'd like rodgers to be given a chance to rebuild this team. i like the way he brings himself about, n how he sets his team to play. i had full faith in him. sadly, this might mean that we may lose suarez next summer, even agger and reina or whoever else. but no one player is bigger than the club.

YNWA. Justice for the 96. i really felt emotional when gerrard scored, could see the guy almost kinda teary when pointing upwards towards the sky for his cousin that passed away on that sad sad day.

Our team played well today and got punished for it. For you to brush it aside like it's a nothing game probably suggests your lack of appreciation of what this derby is to a lot of us. I don't know any Reds that would not be frustrated with the result, especially given the way it ended. I do agree that we're still finding our feet but it doesn't help when the team gets punished for putting on a performance worthy of winning any match.

its hard to have a nice debate here, as u cant see my frustration. ask my mates how i felt. i was gutted sick, that we got absolute nothing from such a performance, we kept the ball well n utilised it really well with 10 man. i expected manu to win to be honest after we got the red card. its just the makings of 'one of those days'.

of cuz it sucks when we keep trying but leave empty handed. nothing helps, only the believe and faith of the lads can, im sure BR will be keeping our spirits high, but then again, how long can the players keep trying ? how long will the patience of the fans be ? how many of u would udst if we finished like 8th again for the LONG term future of our team ? as in 5 years minimum.

I expected the mancs to dominate possession and win from open play, alas they didn't. The goal came from a dodgy penalty and that's just one of many inconsistencies from the referee. I don't think a lot can be blamed on the manager and players, they are growing by the week. This is why the result of the match and how it was officiated is most upsetting. As you said, we can see good performances but we're not getting the right results. If we had the won the match, progress can be claimed and everyone will remain calm and postive. But we didn't and so now unwarranted seeds of doubt will be in some of the supporters minds.

I've been quite vocal in criticizing Borini lately but he was lively yesterday and against YB. His movement is fantastic and is a bit shame that he limped off yesterday. Hope it's nothing serious, he's getting some good form right now. But Suso did well when he came in.

Sterling is not for sale. But you can have Downing for free if you want.

Jonjo was a one footed lunge tho. It looks 2 footed because his legs eventually had to come together at some point. Both players made a crazy lunge for the ball, but there was no malice in it.

In regards to Suso, he came as an attacking midfielder but the Academy started playing him as CM and at times even as DM to improve his overall game. The thing is he's so well-rounded that he can play in most midfield positions. Has good technique, good vision and venomous left foot.

Well we got Suarez for 20mil or so in January. I think it's possible do get good deals in January window but only if we don't freaking shop at the last minute like we did with Carroll.

Liverpool conditioning coach Darren Burgess is returning to his native Australia as Liverpool's backroom shake-up continues.

I appreciate and i do like what i'm seeing from BR. His courage to trust the youngsters and giving them a run in all competitions is very commendable. But i am getting a bit weary that we're removing all these key figures in the club. Brukner, Burgess and Segura were all part of a structure that was meant to be long term and of high priority. I can understand BR wanting his own men to come in but i'm starting to wonder just how far he will go to 'change' things. I'd be freaking furious if anyone starts meddling with the Academy. We're just about to see nearly half a decade of work starting to deliver the overdue youth products, it will be a damn shame to see it disrupted.

Excited but a bit nervous about tonight. Don't think this will be an easy match for the youngsters. They be up against big, physical players, and Steve Clark is a good coach and he knows our team inside out. Lukaku is on some decent form right now, i shiver at the thought of Carra going up against him.

But we will have a point to prove after being hammered by them in the opening game. So hopefully the youngsters will be up for this game.

Looks like Suso is up for it tonight. Love his arrogance, just hope it won't backfire.
