Good game. Conceded some soft goals but otherwise we played quite well. Hendo, Sahin and Suso bossed the midfield. Jonjo is starting to come out of his shell, 2 great goals. Wisdom was tremendous for a debut and Coates was quite decent. The senior players on the other hand, were quite poor tonight.

But some fans rather have 3 points with long ball tactics..talking bout futbol philosophy some of us who juz wont understand..sigh

Is he like your new Insua now ? haha. He was quite good i thought. Took on his fullbacks a few times and had one decent effort i think. That's more than i can say about Downing, who was really disappointing tonight.

Wisdom, however, came to his defensive colleague's rescue two minutes later when he produced a huge leap to head home Nuri Sahin's corner.

Assaidi was lacking some fitness. But not a bad performance for a debut. His linking up, movement and ball control was generally quite good. He slip passed his full back quite easily at times. I think he will be a lot better as he gain full match fitness.

On the contrary, Downing was back to his usual self. His overall movement seems very predictable. By that, i mean he kept running towards his fullback, then turns back like a coward and start passing sideways. Suso and Sterling are hardly men yet they have the spine to take on players twice their size. Downing can obviously cross the ball, but he never picks his targets. Look at Sterling, he always looks up and deliver the cross,  and if he can't get a cross in, he will move to make the angle. Downing either just whacks it in no mans land or turn tail.

Yeah well i suppose it takes some skill to deliver a cross that ends up pin balling onto the opposition heads before ending up in goal.

I thought they were very composed and tidy. Wisdom didn't look out place, a bit slow off the mark but he makes up by his good positioning and confidence on the ball. The midfield had no problems keeping possession, at times Young Boys were just chasing shadows. Suso puts on a typical Spanish display - superb close control and very good at keeping possession. He's a special player in the making. Sahin was quite good too - he's quite a silky footballer. Overall very tidy and didn't rush the play. Hendo was a beast - worked really hard, aggressive - played like a box to box midfielder. Brad Jones was okayish - i thought he was a bit slow to react to the header but otherwise quite dependable. Assaidi didn't impact the game so much but he was still a decent outlet. Borini and Jonjo came in and it changed the game.

i see everybody praising the youngsters especially jonjo, but why nobody praise Brendan for his pro substitutions ha lol

I don't think he was bad, just that he could have done better to stop those goals. The first he should have perhaps commanded the area better, i don't think Enrique would do that to Reina. The 2nd goal he was quite late to react, the ball was already half way or so before he attempted the save. The 3rd goal was class but his positioning was a bit suspect. I don't think he angled himself properly and perhaps a bit late to close down the striker. But other than that, he handled himself pretty well. Pretty confident at collecting crosses and his distribution was quite good. There was one crazy long throw he made that started a counter attack.

Funny, he said the same thing about Woy.

Yes, after reading alexs letter towards us, i will respect you guys tonight. Respect apart im still going to taunt you guys here when we score a couple of goals later ok. No hard feelings losing to united isnt shameful at all it is like a destiny so embrace it from now on.
