Engine cover trap heat la.

Before someone come tell me top of engine mane ade panas, it works like this : engine block generate heat -> Engine bay become hot -> engine cover become hot -> air between engine cover and engine become hot + poor ventilation under the engine cover -> plastic parts and wiring insulation become crispy sooner.

+2 engine colder= respond faster,how i wish i have snow performance on my car, icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Added on September 7, 2012, 12:06 pmOH shet. I retract part of my statement.

Open loop can also happen when the injectors are shut off.
*

Sorry I confuse dy. I always thought AFR is measured via MAF sensor and injector flow rate. I'm curious though, if our cars do monitor the AFR, how come we could not get a measured AFR reading from the scanner?

So is there anyway to ascertain that fuel has in fact been cut? or we need the scangauge as shown in mahihi's video?
*
have u try to monitor ur afr when ur car is running above 3k???where the car will be running in close loop???

p/s:sorry,open loop,damn,i am getting blur n blur..

No no no I mean I can't get the actual measured AFR reading from the scanner. I can only see the commanded AFR.
*

I thought so too, but it is only showing the figure that the ECU is trying to maintain (14.71).

It is not showing the figure of the actual AFR from the sensor.

So what I see is

AFR (commanded) = 14.71
AFR (measured) = no data

coz i couldnt find ur posted image not long ago,lol..now i understand.....maybe ur scanner is confused, hahahaha, not so smart like a dyno machine.....ur scanner could be saying dat when the car is warming up,open loop, intake air is not metered and is on open loop, then once the car already moving, finished warming up,closed loop ad,then o2 sensors kicks in and have reading, but til u whack above 3k,it again running open loop,so ur scanner will like ah~~~~i am confused,4get it la,i cannot brain it,juz make it afr reading when the car is running close loop la, rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

p/s:now after seeing ur image, yea,it oni can shows the afr when ur car is in closed loop, but not open loop, hehehehe

Regardless close/open loop. I wouldn't believe in cut off fuel during downhill, cut down may be. Call me ignorant whistling.gif but already few Gen2 went overhaul after came back from Genting, and DBKL spray ubat nyamuk only occur during downhill whistling.gif water temperature is normal as reported from owner blink.gif Thanks for the input Mengsuan.

Meanwhile, just finished my tank of Primax 95.

510.3km/43.03litre
8.4litre/100km
11.9km/litre

Not much piging as BHP. Very comfortable ride. Overtaking/sudden acceleration jerk like shit. Lazy to climb RPM. Feels like Octane overdozed laugh.gif

Currently running on SHELL V-Power 95. After this will be Caltex Techron 95. Will be back to ESSO/MOBIL/PETRON before conclusion.

hehe, the wheels turn the engine instead of fuel.....
