QUOTE(jarofclay @ Feb 13 2006, 01:19 AM) You are using Venice 3000+ which means you have a max multiplier at 9. So, in order to go 2.8ghz, you need RAM and mobo that can do 311HTT. Based on your value ram, the best bet is to lower your HTT Multiplier to 3x, and then set your ram to DDR333, and then chose 311HTT. Then prime. If your mobo can sustain 311HTT and your CPU can run at 2.8ghz, then this should work. Unless you can get some TCCDs that are real good, and run it at 2.7-2.9Vdimm, you can try to set the memory to DDR400 to run at 1:1. If not, you need to run with RAM divider as mentioned above. There's no guarantees that you could hit 2.8ghz coz there's no such thing as certainty in overclocking. We can only give you the guidelines mentioned above. Sure mate, I'll definately try it out!!! Finally, some1 show me the light.....!!! Thx mate....

QUOTE(antonio_zth @ Feb 13 2006, 12:54 PM) first of all try getting prepared b4 u overclock... interms of hardware make sure your cooling,CPU,Ram,PSU is at its high standard... then find the suitable bios updates, patches, etc so that maybe your windows would crash after overclock...This ensures that u wont having to meet the welcome screen on the setup page of WinXP again and again and again.... VS Rams???aiyo brudder....get ur self a UTT for Good sake's....280 nowadays for 512MB of highspeed memory... Yah u r rite brother.... I'll already put it on my next month bugget.

QUOTE(jarofclay @ Mar 16 2006, 12:31 AM) IO Guy, mine is A8N32 SLI... Proc: AMD X2 3800 Core: Manchester Week: xx Mobo: Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe VCore: 1.6V HTT: 260 FSB: same as HTT. PSU: Silverstone ST65FZ CPU HSF (Brand & Type): BigWater RAM (Brand): Mushkin Enhanced RAM (UCCC) Current Lantency (OC'ed): 3-4-4-8 VDimm: 2.8V RAM FSB: 260MHz aka 520MHz. Not sure how it's gonna help you, but you could use them as baseline for your overclock. My Manchester is not a particularly good chip though. Wow, VCore can reach 1.6v. Mine max 1.550v only. Btw, I don think that's the max, still can tweak somemore rite?
