I've read most of S3 users have the battery issue draining so fast. So I would like to share what I did for my S3. So far, my battery life has increased and I am very satisfied with it.
FYI, I never set my brightness as "Auto" because I found that the display will be too dark/dull. So my setting is like half or even more. Between 3/4 of the brightness level. Moreover, I also using Go Launcher/Go locker(Animation) theme that always running in background. (May consume the battery life power as well). What I did for my s3: 1) Turn on battery power saving in settings (For me, I enable all of the options except "CPU power saving". FYI, I am a heavy user and I don't like my phone lack of performance. Disable this option will limit the maximum CPU speed so I don't prefer this (Personal opinion). 2) When you're running so many processes at once, you're bound to drain the power fairly quickly. I found that IM softwares such as Yahoo messenger/MSN/Steam will consume battery life so much even U didn't open these apps. (These apps will always running in background). So I have uninstalled it. (depends on u. If u are using these apps frequently. Just using Whatsapp is enough for me). 3) So basically I agreed that stock/default ROM would have this issue so I rooted and flashed my phone. N currently I'm using latest version of Omega (Omega v13.1). A very recommended custom ROM for heavy user like me. 4) Install "JuiceDefender" apps. (Must Have). A really effective apps that could save the battery life. Required Root Access 5) Turn off Auto Sync 6) Turn off Bluetooth Goodluck This post has been edited by unrealmind: Sep 18 2012, 07:59 AM |
