Samsung use SBeam while Nexus use AndroidBeam.

You can Beam between two S3 and most probable with this upcoming GNote2 biggrin.gif

I don't know if it has been brought up before, but anybody realize this?
The S3 SME Set box is printed with HSPA version while the S3 AP Set Box is printed with HSPA+ version.

guys... i have few question.. my s3 already root but still use stock ROM (DXLH1). I've planned to flash latest JB from sammobile (I9300XXDLI8). can i just flash that ROM or i need to upgrade firmware (I9300XXBLG8) first  before i flash the latest JB (I9300XXDLI8). pls need answers..  hmm.gif
*
Straight away can flash. Better do full wipe when upgrading firmware ICS - JB.
If flash using PC Odin you'll lose your root. If flash using MobileOdin..root will intact. Only lose CWM Manager full function biggrin.gif

*
Yes..sure can. Just flash that offical JB firmware using MobileOdin if you want to preserve your root.

Normally we need to revert back to the stock rom before we could updates to the latest official roms.
i asked this question because the flash did not wipe away all my stuff and it makes me believe that it could let me update to the official version through the OTA rclxub.gif
*
Just do factory/hard reset if you want to wipe clean your phone..then only you flash the official one.
Make sure you fo backup first before hard reset and flashing.

P.S - If using OTA..you must be on stock rom and kernel first.

yes....i understand roms can be installed through recovery but what about unlocking the bootloader and flash cwm through fastboot commands? or maybe that's a nexus thing only? sad.gif  hmm.gif
*
S3 have unlock bootloader right out from the box. You just need to root the phone and install CWM recovery. Both can be done by flashing CF-root via PC Odin.
Flashing any custom roms or kernels that comes with flashable zip can be done via CWM recovery.
Any official or leaked firmware that comes with .tar or .tar.md5 can be flash via PC Odin or MobileOdin app.

Huh? Do u mean settings>backup&reset>factory reset?
I read somewhere said this will only fully wipe ur internal memory once wor...
*
Factory reset using your phone setting will wipe clean your phone internal storage.
If you do wipe data/factory reset via CWM..the very FIRST time you do it will wipe clean your internal storage. The second time wont wipe your internal storage anymore.

Certain apps/widgets meant to be use with Touchwiz launcher. If use 3rd party launcher you will coming on out of accurate size. Either you get much smaller or much bigger size.
Dont think can do anything about it though

I thought wipe=format?

I see... Then why we still need to type the code in dial pad if this method already can wipe internal memory?
*
What code..!?
Just do factory reset via phone setting if you want to wipe clean your internsl storage is enough edi biggrin.gif

you wrong, have some rubbish data if you use wipe only, better use dial code method very clean, i can confirm this
*
Well..i dont know bro..as my phone internal storage been wiped clean when i do factory reset via phone setting (backup and reset). No extra files or data left except all the pre-install one. Comes out same as a new phone tongue.gif
OR maybe because i didn't do any custom flashing or tweaking so my storage can be wiped clean without leaving any residue or rubbish..?? All this while i'm using stock roms and kernel. biggrin.gif
