Im in lowyat now and the promoter told me i cannot install ssd becaus e windows8 cannot support it.

A lot of shops didn't have stock today for Y400/GT750M when i buy.

Most of them replied me with "Y400/GT750M shipment will come with new Y500/GT750M, mid may or early june" but i dont know how reliable is that.

I bought mine in Miri, was looking around when i stumbled upon the Y400. Initially planned to buy in lowyat when i got back from Sarawak. But it was tooo awesome that i decided to buy it. Another guy bought 2 sets of the Y400  Those re-sellers told me that the stock has just arrived and was quite surprised that it came along with the new Nvidia Geforce GT 750m 

I am more interested with next generation  Y series with maxwell gpu next year.   

Buy when u need, get early and enjoy earlier. 

Y500 is easy to maintain compare to many traditional laptops.

the difference between those 2 ram is that kvr16s11s8/4 is single rank and kvr16s11/4 is dual rank.. however, there are not much difference between them.. but its recommended not to mix those two together ( 1 slot single rank, 1 slot dual rank) as the performance will not be at optimized level.. if u need to mix two ram together, it is best to make sure they have the same rank, voltage, Cas Latency (CS), timing and mhz (not a big deal) to avoid any problem.. if different mhz, the faster ram will be underclock to match the slower ram..

Hey bro, where can I get Y400 at such price you mentioned *(RM2499)?? I went to lowyat and asked one of lenovo authorized reseller, they are selling it at RM2799 if not mistaken. Also, he told me that the z500 is no longer in production due to its graphic card problems reported.. and he kept introducing me the touch z400 instead :/

For those of you guys who bought the ODD variant from Lenovo Official Reseller in Lowyat, They'll let you switch your machine with the dual sli graphics gt750m variant only if the machine is in good condition and you top up a few hundred(the remaining price of the dual sli variant) within 1 week of the date of purchase.

PS. I just got off the phone with the reseller, he said he'll extend my return policy for another 1 week just to switch the machine when it comes out....

no. if you bought local eventhou you didnt register, it wont jump to 2 years. I was once gave false info and got corrected by Lenovo Malaysia
