QUOTE(ForlornBrat @ Jun 7 2013, 12:16 PM) is there any retailer or seller in Penang? Got quite a few. Online one would be Hikaru86 i think. Got a few others here as well. store ones would be Gadgetzone. Just go to any of their shops & ask for the specific model. Or the official Lenovo shop at Komtar ICT. It's next to MSI. Hope this helps you.

Hi guys, I need some advice. I'm thinking of waiting for either the Y510p SLI GT750M or getting the Y500 SLI G750M. My question on the Y500. I've asked a few vendors in Penang about the Y500 & they told me it comes with 2 x 4GB RAM 1600MHz. So if I wanted to upgrade to 16GB RAM later, I'd have to buy 2 x 8GB RAM & throw away the 4GB RAM. However, I read in the earlier posts, that the factory installed RAM is actually just a single 8GB RAM. If this is the case, then upgrading to 16GB would be easy & cheap as all I'd need to do is to buy & install another 8GB RAM. For those of you who have purchased a Y500, could you check if your RAM is a single 8GB RAM or is it 2x4GB RAM? Thanks

QUOTE(hikari85 @ Jun 13 2013, 07:33 PM) Hi Hikari85, Thanks for the reply. Just a little confused here as some shops in Penang told me that the Y500 comes with 2 x 4GB RAM & if I wanted to upgrade to 16GB, I'd have to buy 2 x 8GB RAM. Is the Y500 that you are selling the official Malaysia model? Also, any idea on when the Y510p would be availble in Malaysia? Thanks,
