option 1 = SSD in HDD original location, HDD swap to ODD or
option 2 = mSata SSD install slot, HDD swap to ODD, leave the original HDD slot empty
which one better?
any real life sifu implement this, what is the degree celcious improve
TQ

Its better go for option 1. You will get faster response with SSD, improved cooling in HDD and palmrest area. thumbup.gif

It comes with 120w or 170w power supply ??
Bcoz mine come with 120w psu in da laptop box not in
the second GpU box
*
It should come with both psu. 120w psu in the box and 170w psu with ultrabay gpu. Get from reseller if you missed the 170w psu. smile.gif

i thought mSata and Sata SSD same speed rite? correct me if i'm wrong.
install the 128G mSata SSD slot and still move the HDD to ODD will improve heat
compare msata slot + HDD in original location rite?

plan to get  Crucial M4 mSata 128G
*
SSD & mSATA SSD with SATA3 should have similar performance. You can check with the Y series users as many of them already upgraded to SSD.

Oh! misunderstood ur option 2. tongue.gif
option 2 should have slightly better cooling than option 1 coz it have more room for cooling. biggrin.gif

This is the major warranty claims issues on grey imported set from US reported in local Lenovo facebook as quoted below. Pity her got the bad apple and experience the major warranty claims issues. sweat.gif

So, please be very careful and don't get poison by those good deals of the grey imported set (AP set) from US. drool.gif rclxub.gif
It will save your hassle and headace during warranty claims. cry.gif vmad.gif

For those who owned the AP set, pray hard that you are lucky and nothing go wrong with your lappy. laugh.gif

Lenovo Malaysia:
"Hi Ms Radhika, sorry for the delay. I have intended to contact you as soon I was able to speak to the reseller who sold you the U300 but was unable to since their number was not reachable, however, in the process, dialled your brother's number which was written in the purchase invoice (thinking it could be the salesman's contact number) and I have spoken to him with regards to the management disposition on this case.

Lenovo management has decided that we will not be able to support your request for a replacement or refund because this machine is a US based machine. The dealer who sold you the unit is not an authorized Lenovo reseller. I have tried to contact the reseller but to no avail, in order to advise them the situation and for them to liase with you with regards to the solution that they may be able to offer you. I suggest that you walk in to the reseller's office if you also fail to reach them via telephone and bring up this issue to them.

Although Lenovo is an international company, the services that we render is subjected to the company's local policy and at the same time governed by Lenovo International Term & Condition.

For your existing U300 which are still at our service center, we will finish up the repair but there won't be any more warranty repair should any issue surfaces after this. "

is tht Y400 coming with dual GPU ?
if yes,how much is the price ?

No, Y400 only come with single gpu & 120w adapter, you need to buy the optional ultrabay gpu and 170w adapter separately which is more expensive compare with Y500 selling around RM34xx with full HD, dual gpus and both 120w & 170w adapter. biggrin.gif

Local set Y400/Y500 come with 2 yrs warranty, Lenovo system will show 1 yr warranty from the manufacturing date by default. You need to register your warranty and email your receipt/ invoice to ASEAN@lenovoreg.com to update to 2 yrs warranty from purchase date.

It seems GT750m is an OC gtx660m with higher clock due to matured 28nm manufacturing.
