i know this is the silly question...but do u know how to shutdown using win8?

Of course lar ==
The problem is it won't shut down completely (keyboard led and power led still on) for a few minutes
Heck, sometimes it restarts itself after I shutdown or put it to sleep

Hurmm... I'm not sure, but if i'm not mistaken, someone commented on this forum that reinstalling win8 had problems with their onekey function.. I'm not so sure, maybe it's my mistake hahaha icon_rolleyes.gif

But if it's shutting down problem and pc restarts, i dont think it concerns windows ler.... well, it's just my opinion.. I'm not expert, so hopefully the sifus here can share their thoughts brows.gif

Got quite a few.
Online one would be Hikaru86 i think. Got a few others here as well.

store ones would be Gadgetzone. Just go to any of their shops & ask for the specific model.

Or the official Lenovo shop at Komtar ICT. It's next to MSI.

Hope this helps you.

I'm interested to buy Y500 but I'm not very experience in warranty issues, so I took a step to ask here.

1) Does reformatting W8 to W7 void the warranty?
2) I upgrade the RAM to 16GB by adding another 8GB from other brand, it will not void the general warranty, but Lenovo will ONLY be responsible for broken 8GB Lenovo RAM, right?

Thank you for the respond.
W8 just isn't my taste for now (no offend for W8 enthusiasts), considering Y500 until I found something that is as friendly as it is. biggrin.gif

Haswell CPU more energy efficient, thus you can get extra hour(s)..
according to Lenovo US,
-Y400 (Ivy Bridge) can get up to 3 hours,
-Y410p (Haswell) can get up too 5 hours....
