when i'm playing path of exile while the battery charging, the performance is awesome

but when its not charged, the performance drop from 40fps to 12fps

It is normal.
Battery power is not enough to power up a full run CPU+GPU.

how do i counter this, can i disable SLI without getting the gpu out? coz i tried in the nvidia control panel and it din work

Yes, you can disable SLI in nvidia control panel.
But, still can't do gaming on full load under battery mode.

How do you guys install Dolby Home Theater v4? i tried their official site, the site doesn't provide the download link and mention only for selected model and I doesn't found LENOVO Y400/Y500 in the list...

Just played Crysis 3 with my Y400. Performance aint that good. But can play the game on Very High settings on 30 - 40fps ish...provided that i put Low for shaders, shadow and water effects

one little problem tho, why some times my external 650m can be detected and sometimes cannot?

i think you check the sli slot. and power SUpply
