that is spec II. he got that free for setting one of the fastest time in GT Academy.

some tracks have distance indicator board and some doesnt, which you have to use visible cues such as trees, house etc etc

well it depends. When you have a car that has been winning races, why upgrade at all? If you are struggling, then you need to tune the car like buying the custom suspension so that you can adjust the camber, toe, ride height etc etc

I recommend you visit the gtplanet's forum. there's a lot of sample tune there.

I highly suggest that you learn all you can about the car handling characteristics first and only then slowly learn about upgrading. If you are doing like me last time, get lots of credit and upgrade anything is upgrade able. End result you don't even know why you do the upgrade. This game no need to do things fast fast. Learn as you go along you will enjoy better and the knowledge gain is super.

IMHO more cars > upgrades.

Then you will understand what each car has to offer. you may have 2 cars of the same performance points but they perform differently on different track/ condition
