GT6 features:

- Over 1200 cars.
- Revamped user interace.
- Lots of social media tie-ins via smartphone and tablets intergration.
- Customisation parts (like Forza, not the fairly subtle GT5 customisation) for almost "all" the cars in the game.
- 33 tracks, 71 different layouts (19 of which are new).

Obviously not all 1200 cars will be premium models, so will be interesting to see if they announce exactly how many will be.
More details soon.

well that if true, sucks man.

I rather have around 300 premium models, then PD can sell the car packs via PSN, who wants them, buy them. its like we build our own garage with real moneh!

but of course, they cant charge the game full price. I rather have that kind of business model rather than they shove EVERY SINGLE SKYLINE premium or not. who knows, we might also get special holiday themed or things like that car sold in PSN.

and for god's sake, PREMIUM RUF!!!! WOOF WOOF WOOF!

Agreed.

There's no way they can make all 1200 cars premium though (given than they have roughly 3 years to work on GT6) unless they par back the quality per car.
Selling car packs would be better, although I know a lot of people will not be happy about excessive DLC either.

Sony has a PS4 version of GT6 in mind already actually — which is PR talk for actually saying "we've already got a PS4 version up and running".
Though everything GT6 has to offer (its DLCs, updates, patches, those sort of stuff) will come to the PS3 first. So don't expect a PS4 release until a few years later.

Plenty of new screenshots here btw -

so im guessing the GT6 in ps3 is just a teaser?
*
No. It is a full fledge game, it isn't a "GT: Prologue" to GT6 on the PS4.
Don't be mistaken.

The game has been and is being developed on the PS3 primarily. The PS4 version will just be a port.

wub.gif nice PD. i wonder is there a big improvement in graphic wise on ps3 ver. vs ps4 ver. 720p vs fhd? hmm.gif

GT5 is 1080p (although upscaled) on the PS3 already.
GT6 will be 1080p (again, will be upscaled, not native) on the PS3 as well.

The PS4 version by logic will have native 1080p res, higher resolution textures, cars will look better, tracks will be more detailed... things like that. Maybe some new intergration based on the PS4's social intergration focus.

But gameplay should largely remain the same.

I'm actually quite interested to start playing Gran Turismo, but not sure whether should I get a PS3 now or wait for PS4, what do u guys think?
*
Lol you wanna play, get for PS3.
The PS4 version isn't coming until a few years later at least. And also, a PS4 version isn't exactly confirmed.

Although expected, it's still a little bit dissapointing that there will still be standard cars in GT6.
At least on the bright side we can modify all of them now and hopefully, they will really look better than PS2 models.

any RUFs
Evo Super Rally
Evo 5
Veyron
and while we are at it, why not bring supertrucks?

Veyron is almost 100% to be a premium car in GT6. If it still isn't, I think people will start shooting kittens.

I downloaded from US PS Store.

I can feel the improvement, but can't really pinpoint where exactly. One thing i noticed is that i like the way the DS3 respond in this game.

My wallet is ready!!!!! laugh.gif

This.

I didn't have time to try the demo out with a wheel yesterday, just with a DS3.
Honestly speaking, it's actually pretty fun and playable at the same time. Quite a notable improvement over GT5 and I see it as a good thing for casuals.

Guys, it doesn't matter what region you download from lol... Don't know what you're even waiting for.

Download from anywhere, the important thing is to log your time in the region that you want.
So if you want to log your time in NA region, play on a US PSN account.
If UK, then a UK account and if Asia then asian account and so on.

Very impressed at the demo so far, definitely a very notable improvement over GT5 on almost all fronts.
They just need to iron out the framerates, it's quite sparodic right now and this is with only 6 cars on screen.

Don't know if I like Polyphony's choice of music this time around, I still prefer the jazz and elevator tracks from GT5. Not a huge issue since I believe EVERYONE should turn music off when racing anyways.

Finally, I don't think it's possible to return to GT5 after experiencing the new physics and suspension system in GT6. It's just... like a whole different world.

they straight line also much faster. confirm they tuned the engine/tranny already. haiz cheater so desperate one to win

Honestly, it doesn't really matter if they win or not. PD and everyone who actually knowns a little bit of racing will be able to tell how bogus some of the top times are.
Besides, they can cheat behind the screen but they can't cheat when they have to actually drive infront of judges live.
