How do i join? Default car?

As with GT5: Academy Edition released in Europe earlier this year, 2013 Edition includes  the game’s Spec 2.0 update and along with previously released downloadable content. Unlike other special editions, however, 2013 also includes Twin Ring Motegi.

The press release also confirms a “GT5 2013 Edition Special Challenge” will be held in the game’s Seasonal Events, starting on December 20, 2012 through January 10, 2013. It will feature Kazunori Yamauchi’s Nissan GT-R N24 GT Academy ’12 on the London circuit, and will earn players “double credits”.

The 50 fastest contestants in the event will also receive PlayStation Store vouchers, though the competition appears to be limited to 2013 Edition players.

Using GTPlanet tune still +5s short, i don't have a good gear setup. Should i sacrifice top speed to gain grounds early on?
What about assist? Had to use auto to focus on driving.

Civic seasonal event
Can't win the 2nd race, the course is too short and only 5 laps. Using Civic EK RM still can't win...

After trying for 2+ hours ... using DS3 ... I manage to get down to 7:52.0    Need to squeeze 2 seconds ... On a good run, I can squeeze 1 second from sector 1, but DQ later...
All aids off, except TC=1 and ABS=1.
I don't have driving wheels 

Well, not that I need the ticket or what, just want to gold it only.

It's been sometime, I've been practising Nurb ring with Mazda NC-07. Learn more about the corners and practise without driving line aid. Can't get the perfect spot for all the braking points yet.

Then go back to the Special event - Merc, and finish all the last two events, in the rain, without driving line. Satisfied with all silvers.

yup, GT5 censorship can be annoying sometimes. Especially when you type a long comment.   

USB keyboard will be very handy. A PS3 keypad is another option. But keyboard is a much cheaper option. Make sure it's a wired USB keyboard ya.

If we use same car, I think I kena smoke liao.... the GTR is good, but it's also heavy.....

Evo, wireless keyboards got any problems or not? I read somewhere that some wireless keyboards couldn't function properly. That's why I didn't buy wireless last time. Scared didn't work.

Wanna ask you guys, can we get the ferarri f1 cars for free? I mean, win it from a certain event? Any such events?

I hope its not endurance events...few days ago falls asleep during a race....wah, my eyes are not in the racing spirit anymore...

From Level 24 tickets - which will generate 3 cars randomly : F1 2007, F1 2010, or FGT
Or grind for Cr (shorter time than grind for 24-hours endurance)

Level 24 tickets - get one each by finishing either one of A-spec or B-spec (including endurance ).

Been there, done that    yes, I finished both the 24 hours A-spec Sarthe and Nurburgring.
And of course B-spec 24 hours also (leave it running 24 hours with fan blowing each time, tv off, PS3 connected to UPS )
Once done that, the 9 hours Mazda ... is not that long time 
4-hours Nurb becomes peanuts.
2-hours just pass very fast.
