evoHahn thanks. I think i’m just frustrated cos once I turn ASM off, GR3 cars are squirrelly as f*rk on controller, especially on tracks like suzuka that have long partial throttle partial steering S curves. It’s so difficult to even keep the car on track without spinning off into the sand.
If I turn ASM on and all the other aids then sure it’s OK, but then ............... |

QUOTE(r2t2 @ Nov 12 2017, 01:44 AM) Just got my GT Sport R2 Collector's Edition on Friday ... after so long Asia version pales in comparison..that model car alone [attachmentid=9326812][attachmentid=9326856] [attachmentid=9326813][attachmentid=9326857] [attachmentid=9326814] Really like the hardcover A4 sized APEX book (magazine, it's called), quite hefty, weighing around 2kg; it made up the bulk of the box. if they are really serious about vision GT, might as well give us the ultra cool Mitsu vision GT |

QUOTE(evoHahn @ Nov 13 2017, 04:09 PM) To quantify how much quicker is a bit difficult, but for me the difference between using a controller and a wheel is like plus minus 2-3 seconds provided that i use the correct driving technique. I would fully agree. It allow fine tuning of the brake and throttling, and small adjustment when entering a corner and exiting. The advantage of Using a controller, you can turn the car quickly side to side; meanwhile when you use a wheel you can better control the gas and brakes of the car IMO This apply espeacially when exiting a corner- to step on the throttle gradually in preventing oversteer. 2-3 seconds it a lot in a race. that also the different between gold and bronze in the license. * i had a wheel but miss it dearly everytime i switches on for GT sport. Sold it off as back then couldnt commit financially to get a driving seat. i could stretch and get a wheel and seat now, but then again, could not commit the time to play..... sigh. I tot it supports all, so decided not to buy the VR gear. |

Saw the psvr graphic in youtube, it looks very real compare with tv. Is it really? Nope ... if you're thinking of buying PSVR just for GT Sport VR Mode, don't ... yet. Polyphony might improve the VR Mode in the future (hopefully), but at current state, nothing much, not worth it. In VR Drive, only 2 laps, 1 vs 1 lousy AI ... VR Showroom only view cars in a very simple mode (can press L1 to speed up camera movement). Compared to DriveClub VR, GTS VR is less jaggy, prettier a bit, but DriveClub VR got many things better. In DriveClub VR, when putting our head outside the side window, can see all the outside parts, can turn head around and see the side of the car, it's more immersive ... GTS VR can't, when putting head pass the window, darkness ... blank. DriveClub VR, as far as viewing the car's interior is concerned, you can move head freely around, can bend down, see underneath the car seat, see the car engine, etc. What GTS VR does better is the feeling when driving in VR ... not so easily will get motion sickness / nausea, compared to Driveclub VR. Was trying out Mazda MX-5 the other day on Mount Panorama, Bathurst ... quite nice. The side views, the open top ... the elevation changes, nice. The pitch and roll of car, nice ... But if you said, looks very real, no lor. The screenshot on youtube is captured from the monitor side eh? If you haven't try PSVR before, the resolution you see while wearing the headset is different from the resolution you see on monitor/TV. You need to try it out at shops first before deciding .... That said, I only tried GT Sport VR Mode using base PS4, not PS4 Pro ... some reviews did mention it looks much better on PS4 Pro, but not until very realistic like playing GT Sport in normal mode lor. Guys! Glad i found this thread.
The reason I bought PS4 haha also because of this game. Already ordered T300RS GT and F1GT seat simulator. I am thinking if I should get the PS4 or PS4 PRO (Yes I do have a 4k TV). Is it worth going adding Rm400 extra for PRO? I found latest deal at Lazada for PS4 PRO is RM1444. The non-pro slim one is at RM1059. Is it really worth the upgrade for the graphics? Thank you! |
